1. James Buchanan
2. Franklin Pierce
3. Warren Harding
4. Ulysses Grant
5. Herbert Hoover-Jimmy Carter tie

That's a pretty good list, though I'd part Carter on there in his own right.

The biggest thing Carter did was deregulate industries. Why should he be worse than, say, FDR?

Okay, I knew a lot of leftists were going to put Bush down, but why you? I find it amazing that any conservative would rank Bush worse than Wilson!

Change the order of Wilson and Lincoln.  Change Hoover to Nixon, and we have my list.

Good to see you back.

I can't see why Hoover is always included on these lists, must be a bunch of deluded fools from the public school system.

Or those of us who understand he was a far-left socialist. He even wrote a book defending Wilson!

Some people find his record as president more telling.

And, no, you're wrong. The New Deal was being critiqued right and left throughout the 1930s, in newspaper editorials, and everything else.

Ever heard of Garet Garrett?

I don't think Hoover understood economics very well. This is a guy who tried to keep wages artifically high to improve the economy.

No, that was one of the many fabrications made up by LBJ's professional liars (sometimes also called "campaign managers").
