I was going to start a thread on a personal matter, but this will work just as well....

I became a grandpa for the first time a few hours ago.  Baby Lyla is a healthy baby girl of 7lbs 11ozs.

tbh I respect him for calling out the hivemind on the Update saga, even though it won him few friends.

it's still one of the stranger things I've seen happen in an online community.  Perfectly normal, non-asshole posters completely blind to what they were doing (and AFAIK, still doing at the Toxic Place).


Anyway, thanks everyone for the grandpa congrats.  It's.....interesting, having a baby in the house again (they live here).  Grandpa is the easiest job.

I don't see it as a good thing that he's bought a child that will likely share his vile beliefs into this world.

I believe this is a textbook case of projection. Unlike hacks like you, I don't force my opinions on my children.  As proof, I have 4 adult children, none of whom share my (rather odd) beliefs (vile or otherwise).


Also, the last child I brought into the world turns 18 in a couple of months (the picture is of my grand kid).
