This raises the question of how many people who were Republicans at the time and disapproved are no longer Republicans in 2019 (and thus not included in the poll)
Well obviously most of the silent Generation Republicans that were alive in 2003 are now dead, but that shouldn't make a difference, members of a party will always tend to support their own president by a similar margin regardless of their generation. The only exceptions are presidents who have perceived to have been unsuccessful by their own party like Ford, Carter and Bush I.
