I didn't read all that, but I support legalized abortion (until third trimester) and support keeping the death penalty.

What about the risk of executing innocent people, though?

If we're not going to craft our hypothetical punishments on the assumption that our criminal justice system can be trusted, then what's the point?

Conservative. Yes abortion, yes death penalty (which is the status quo).

Which is exactly why it's flawed to simply equate political conservatism with "maintaining the status quo."
