IIRC Sanders was kind of wanting to enter politics anyway, but didn't because of health concerns.

McGovern, the first candidate I've been excited about since the Socialist Era.

Y'know how I usually vote for Wallace (or write-in McCarthy)? I'd assume Ben is now voting for Wallace as the most pro-war candidate Tongue

BTW, considering my vote for McGovern was an obvious attempt at getting the vote of "people like you"... shame on you for betraying us. Sad

I voted for the Universal Party. The UP is the best political party since the ill-fated candidacy of Ignatius Donnelly and shall probably be the best till the 2012 Republican candidacy of one Newton LeRoy Gingrich.

But the ticket's going to win anyways, so it's okay if I devote myself to the cause of celestial libertarianism or whatever. Beaming Rand via SETI.

I mean, is race an issue?  If so, then I've made a huge mistake.  Otherwise, Wallace was good on all other issues, so there's some hope he's 1958 Wallace, not 1962 Wallace Tongue

They're libertarians.  Wallace is merely racist.

If you paid attention, you'd see that I didn't actually vote for Wallace, as King was nowhere near the ticket. I voted for LBJ that time around.

Either Romney or McGovern would be good.

How do we know anything? I've never voted for a joke candidate, no matter how tempting it was. I may vote for Herman Cain 2012, however.

And now for The Polling Update!

42% McGovern (8/19), 32% Romney (6/19), 16% Wallace (3/19), 11% Hensley (2/19).

Now it's 48% McGovern, (13/27), 26% Romney (7/27), 19% Wallace(5/27), 7% Hensley(2/27).

McGovern has increased his lead, with nearly twice the number of votes as his nearest opponent. Wallace is also up by 3 percentage points, and is gaining fast on Romney as the latter suffers a 6-point drop in the polls? Kirby Hensley is down by four, but no one cares about him.
