Well it certainly won't be and isn't now "normal" by Massachusetts standards (ok, feel free to insert your favorite slam against Massachusetts here if you wish). Smiley

for 16 years it has been 'normal' for massachusetts to elect republican governors.

Correct, but Patrick is currently far ahead in the polls, and it is my belief that he will win, so in both cases support for and a vote for Patrick would by definition be normal.

Not that normal is always or even mostly good, of course, just pointing out that by definition the majority is normal.
