Believe it or not, Quayle's actually younger than Joe Biden. Just a fun fact.

H.W. Bush nostalgia maybe?

Andrew Yang
Yang gets elected Mayor of New York in 2021, runs for the Democratic nomination in 2024, and defeats Kamala Harris in the primaries, before defeating Donald Trump in the general election.
The Qanon idiots realise that Dan Quayle is the only high-ranking American politican whose surname starts with Q, and that he had incredibly high security clearance as VP - with the conspiracists uniting around the idea that Quayle himself is Q .

Also, they decide that his mispelling of 'potatoe' is actually a secret signal that he's trying to take down the Deep State (potato + e. E is short for evil and engineered, indicating that the illuminati have poisoned America's potatoes with genetic engineering).

Finally assured of the identity of their messiah, they pressure him to run.

They storm the primary, and threaten the other candidates so badly that only Quayle left after Iowa. After winning the nomination, a series of economic crises allow him to narrowly beat Harris.

Chasten Buttigieg

Chasten gets elected to a Congresional seat in Indiana in 2022, and runs for President, winning the Democratic nomination over Kamala Harris, and defeating the Republican nominee in a landslide.

Joseph Massino

Massino is pardoned by Biden after evidence is found that he is innocent. He runs for governor of New York as an independent against a very unpopular Andrew Cuomo, who refuses to resign, winning by 1.4%. In 2023 with the support of Trump, he runs in the GOP nomination, coalescing WWC voters and doing astounding numbers with Irish, Italians and Hispanics, securing the nomination. Biden doesn't run, leaving Harris who is not particularly liked by the public, as the Dem nominee. In a close election, Massino beats Harris by winning MI, MN, PA and WI, despite losing GA and NC.
