Anyways as for Cruz, Trump stayed out, Hawley stayed out and Cruz became the most Trumpist candidate remaining and was nominated. Biden runs for re-election, however the Ukraine scandal is revealed to be a real thing and it is also revealed that he has millions of dollars in offshore bank accounts, some of which are in Ukraine. Both scandals strongly weaken Biden, and as a result Cruz wins quite easily.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 is struck down by the Supreme Court for some reason, so I can now be the Democratic nominee, I don't know how it happened, but it did. The Republicans nominate MTG, so I have a pretty easy time winning the general and make few controversial statements. If this sounds unrealistic, it's because it is.
