Putin gets re-elected in 2024 and continues serving as president… of Russia.

(OP didn't say which country the previous person would be president of)

But to not be a sourpuss I'll say, President Biden is such an incredible do-gooder that the entire world unites under the USA as a world government, and then Putin rigs the election to win and is inaugurated on Jan 20 2025.

Congress has huge turnover in the 2021-2024 period, to the point where Susan Collins becomes President pro tempore of the Senate. COVID-24 kills President Biden VP Harris and Speaker Jeffries to hand the WH over to our new Acting President Collins.
