It will be an incredibly fitting end to this cycle (and Trafalgar's/other pollsters' record as well as much of CW) if Walker now actually wins this. Wrong both times, in both directions. It would really highlight how useless much of this business has become.
Most of the higher quality pollsters had Warnock tied or leading in November.
Most of the higher quality pollsters were pretty damn accurate in most races. Was not a bad year for polling when you remove the junk GOP hack polls.
Also, the "CW" was not all wrong as many (ahem, such as myself) predicted that exactly what happened could happen, for the reasons it happened. Others, however, blindly and smugly insisted that "conventionally" important factors -- like candidate quality, special election results (and the direction the polls were skewed earlier in the year), voter propensity, and highly motivating social issues -- no longer were relevant. That was the only thing that happened this year which was utterly disproven as a wise predictive strategy. As well as dismissing all the "conventionally" accurate pollsters and pumping up said junk GOP hack polls as more accurate because they fit the narrative you wanted to be true more.
ALSO, I wouldn't be surprised if what we're seeing here is a typical Trafalgar poll before they apply whatever skewing they usually apply, released in the hopes that they don't embarrass themselves AGAIN.
