Stone for President

Credit: Associated Press via NBC News

With the legal crippling of Donald J. Trump, a devious thought entered the mind of Roger J. Stone: Who better than him to claim the mantle in 2024? After all, Roger Stone made Trump in a way by recruiting him to politics in the first place. One could even argue that Stone was Trump before Trump: flamboyant, vengeful, and ever so persistent. Sensing opportunity, the veteran political beast quickly arranged to launch a full-fledged presidential bid that would define the race from here on out.

Welcome to the Stone Zone.

Announcement

Roger Stone and his informal, tightly-knit group of advisors deliberated over how best to announce the burgeoning campaign. It was settled that an early announcement, perhaps the first in the Republican field post-Trump, would garner notable attention and provide the campaign ample time to make their mark in the primaries. However, the location for said campaign launch warranted more internal debate. After passing over Miami, the original choice that would have been in close proximity to Stone's full-time residence, it was eventually settled to hold the venue in New York City. Multiple reasons were cited for the switch. The announcement by Stone would parallel Trump's own in 2015, when he descended from Trump Tower to a captivated nation. Although Florida is now somewhat of a GOP stronghold electorally and culturally, at least two other prospective candidates—Ron DeSantis and Matt Gaetz—hail from the state, making for crowded ground. Stone himself has long roots in New York State and would be in familiar terrain from decades of business and political dealings. NYC would stand out symbolically for the Stone campaign by maximizing media visibility, along with representing the crucial urban, Northeastern bloc crucial to the MAGA movement—voters that are underrepresented by the other Republicans. Plus, the prospect of left-wing agitators for campaign fodder was relished by Stone himself.

On the morning of February 3rd, 2023, with a significant gathering of media and spectators alike, Roger Stone formally announced his entry to the Republican primaries in a way that only Roger Stone could:

Thank you all! Thank you all so much.

I come to you all today because we're at a true inflection point in this country we love. What have we seen over these last number of years under Joe Biden and the Democrats? Record high crime and inflation. Our hospitals crippled. Massive droughts and fires across our land. Our so-called brilliant leaders thought that wasn't enough, and now they've added the total breakdown of our rights and liberties. Let me make this clear, unequivocally: The moment that the Democrat Party and the Deep State decided to charge President Trump was the moment that all Americans must realize they could be next. No one is safe from this tyrannical, vengeful government filled with the worst scum on the planet.

How do I know? I was one of their political prisoners myself—a victim of the Mueller investigation and their allies in the Fake News Media. They threw the books at me, and they nearly won. It was only through the grace of God, along with the understanding of President Trump, that I was able to claim my freedom and family back. I will be forever grateful for that. For countless other patriots, though, persecution is an ever present reality or threat.

When I saw Old Man Joe Biden on the news a few weeks ago, laughing about Trump's troubles and shouting 'Merry Christmas,' my blood boiled. These people have no shame. They will ruin your lives in front of you and cackle over it, just as Kamala does. An unholy alliance of globalists in government, business, and the media are dead set on putting us under lockdown, enforcing thought crimes, teaching unspeakable things to our children.

We must put a stop to this insanity. We must take back power from Washington and give it to the powerless. And, now, for the moment you've all been waiting for: I am formally declaring my run for President of the United States.

Before you fake news journalists ask, no, I'm not doing any of that exploratory committee bullsh**t. This is a no bullsh**t campaign, straight to the point. America will get to experience the pure, unadulterated Roger Stone, and they're going to love it.

Who is Roger Stone, anyway? Some may call me a handsome, well-dressed devil. What I really am, though, is a truth teller. I've been at the forefront of exposing government corruption from the inside, in all its forms, since my younger days. I'm a street fighter—metaphorically speaking, for the record. I've been on the ground each and every day fighting for our rights, speaking truth to power side-by-side with our best and brightest patriots. I'm also a visionary, believe it or not. Over 40 years ago, I saw great potential in a friend of mine. His name? Donald J. Trump. I encouraged him to run time and time again, as I knew he had exactly what it takes to Make America Great Again. Thanks to enough boldness on the man's part and the support of millions of proud Americans, we've made great progress in taking back this country. However, all of that is being endangered again by those who hate this country. That includes you punks in the back, shouting some gibberish like it means anything or like we'll even care tomorrow. Take 'em out! *laughter and applause as protestors are hauled away*

. . .If any of you are left, please step forward so we can haul your ass out too. *greater cheers and laughter as security escorts the remaining agitators* Now you can see this campaign is already restoring law and order, one step at a time.

I fight for the common man. It really doesn't matter if you're black or white, Hispanic or Asian. If you love this country, I'm for you. Our campaign is about bridging those gaps and building a truly multiracial, multigenerational, working class Republican Party. Our campaign is about protecting your basic freedoms and ensuring that you have the right to live and think as you please if you're not stepping on others. Our campaign is about rebuilding our industries and giving every citizen the economic security they deserve. Our campaign is about exposing the lies and corruption of the establishment and giving them the proper comeuppance. If they're going to do us dirty, well, we'll have to beat them at their own game.

Join me on this journey. We will, in fact, Make America Great Again . . . and even more. God Bless America.

As the candidate stepped away after concluding his announcement speech, a feeling of exhilaration filled the air. This would be no ordinary campaign, nor would the primaries have any sense of predictability. Should Donald Trump prevail over the legal system and resume his campaign, Stone would naturally close shop and loyally return to the man he has interchangeably mentored and worked for. If not? The Stone campaign would represent the culmination of over 50 years of practicing in the darkest arts of politics.

Stone-Lake Rally of the Patriots at Apache Lake

To accelerate the momentum of his nascent campaign, Roger Stone proposed a bold early move: schedule a joint appearance with Kari Lake at Apache Lake in support of the various protestors. The notion was met with an enthusiastic reception from Mrs. Lake, and the two teams quickly organized a rally to be held on February 15th. News of the event rapidly spread to major right-wing hubs of information, where it would soon be dubbed as "The Rally of the Patriots." Major outlets including Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax arrived to capture the event live, along with scores of right-wing streamers and influencers.

Notably, the Rally marked the official announcement of Lake's own presidential campaign that would capture the day's largest headlines. However, Stone would capture newsworthy moments of his own when he followed up Lake on the stage:

Wow! Let me proudly be the first to give a warm welcome to Kari Lake now that she's part of the campaign. Kari, you're a bright, fierce woman. The powers that be in Arizona might have fleeced her out of her rightful spot as Governor, but everyone here knows we're not going to let that stand. Kari has a very bright future and her voice will be much needed in this election.

Let's continue to talk about why we're all here in the first place. Our nation's farmers, the very people who bring our food to the table each day in America, are critically endangered by this radical government shutting off the water faucet. They have mismanaged our resources, and now they punish us for their own actions. To add insult to injury, many of these leaders are the ones who have been pushed through on stolen elections. They robbed Kari Lake of her victory, and they robbed Donald Trump of his second term and his freedom!

I believe that accountability starts from the very top. The honorable Marjorie Taylor Greene recently put out articles of impeachment on the illegitimate, doddering old fool, Joe Biden. About damn time somebody did! Today, with all of you patriots standing side by side, I call on Speaker Scalise to take up these articles immediately. I also call on every Republican even thinking of running in 2024 to join me in supporting impeachment. This must absolutely be a litmus test. Who among us can possibly excuse the incompetence and the evil rolled into one administration?

With that said, I'd like to officially unveil one of my campaign's new slogans: JAIL BIDEN, FREE TRUMP. *banner is revealed behind Stone to great applause and excitement* Say it loud, say it proud. Everyone here today will be getting a complementary JAIL BIDEN, FREE TRUMP t-shirt on me. *crowd breaks into chants of the slogan as Stone pumps fists*

You know who's stayed remarkably quiet on everything Kari and I have been talking about, by the way? A certain short and stout Governor of Florida. *laughter from audience* Hasn't said a word about election integrity. Hasn't said a damn word about the ongoing persecution of President Trump. He hasn't even bothered to stand in solidarity with us on this stage for our basic rights. Where the hell is DeSantis? *crowd breaks into chants of "Where's DeSantis?" as Stone smiles on*

That name is too good for him. On this day henceforth, I now christen him as Ron DeSnaketis. *laughter and approval*

You all know what the Deep State and Fake News Media think of you as. Terrorists. Thugs. Insurrectionists. I have to say, I haven't seen a whiff of violence coming from this crowd for all the time I've been around here. You're decent American folk, practicing civil disobedience as countless past generations have. You have a right to stand up, make your voice heard, force them to listen.

To all of you patriots here at Apache Lake: Stay strong. Never give in. Be the change that you want to see from our leaders. I will stand with you until the end. May God bless you all as we take this country back to the people!

Upon the Rally's conclusion, the Stone campaign rapidly moved to edit and disseminate the most noteworthy moments from Stone across social media channels. Particular emphasis was placed on areas of conversation such as impeachment of Biden and criticisms of DeSantis.

"Stone's Rules: Never do anything till you're ready to do it."

Organizing and Strategizing

For the Roger Stone campaign—starting at 1% as it may—the candidate views the seemingly long odds, acknowledges certain challenges, but otherwise thinks nothing of it. Stone knows this campaign is in for the long haul, which is why he announced early, and is not intimidated by whomever might be leading at the moment. Polls often change, after all—especially with some determination from opponents. The man known as America’s dirty trickster has more political experience in the trenches than all of the other Republicans combined. His lessons in the battlefield shall be of great use in the first real campaign of his own, and he will make sure of such.

Given the candidate’s unique background, one key strength for Roger Stone compared to his GOP rivals is his ability and willingness to be on the ground. He has organized many a protest, rally, festival, and other public forums in addition to marching with his fellow footsoldiers in countless events. This familiarity and intimacy with the grassroots, gaining friends and loyalty over the years, is what Stone believes will propel him to the nomination and then to the White House. With this level of grassroots enthusiasm also comes a level of rigorous organization supported by the many folks passionate towards the greater cause. Though they start off in the minor league, the Stone campaign will gradually out-organize the rest of the field.

Through years of fostering relations with the right-wing media sphere, Stone relies heavily on the counsel as well as the operations of people associated in this world. For example, Stone has essentially acquired the remnants of the InfoWars empire to begin bulking his campaign staff, including a certain long-time friend Alex Jones (in a still-to-be-announced public role). Stone has also ambitiously hired two notable investigative provocateurs: James O’Keefe and Andy Ngo. They reportedly will be in charge of campaign content creation as well as coordinating media relations. These moves amount to building a robust and innovative organization for how the campaign will promote itself.

Stone’s long-standing solo podcast, The Stone Zone, has now morphed into the candidate’s continuous campaign livestream–thanks to the support of greater people and funds to make it happen. Through the various social media channels, including the more notorious ones such as Rumble and Truth Social, Stone will play out what he is doing, where he is going, and who he is targeting next on a near daily basis. These actions add to greater publicity and awareness of the campaign at minimal cost, and it also allows for viewers to have a more personal look of the candidate as he is frequenting the campaign trail. In addition, Stone will begin making a relentless television spree during this period. Morning or night, Stone will attempt to find a way into a spot on Fox, Newsmax, or One America News and get his message out to conservative viewers through his distinct lacing of humor, histrionics, and other banter. Over the coming months, it is hoped that Stone will begin to stand out among the field and especially eat away at the margins that Ron DeSantis currently commands.

Building Support and Endorsements

With the primaries being so far out, Stone believes that it is imperative to first build a solid base of supporters who will not budge and to move up from there. That way, he can always differentiate himself with a strong floor no matter who the competition is. One group that shall first be of intense targeting is libertarians. As a self-described libertarian conservative and a man who has long lived by his own rules, Stone can claim to embody many ideals of libertarianism in a field where alternatives are scarce. Although the entry of Justin Amash in May has changed the calculus for the campaign somewhat, Stone’s initial strategy for dealing with Amash shall be to paint him as too liberal and too anti-Trump for the libertarians comfortable in the GOP.

To court the libertarian base, Stone makes an early and persistent effort to make appearances at many libertarian-themed shows. These include a conversation with former Congressman Ron Paul on his self-titular Liberty Report, Lew Rockwell Radio, and New Hampshire’s own Free State Radio. The candidate would cite his non-interventionism, vocal advocacy of cryptocurrencies, and more niche issues such as support of Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. Stone also had a roundtable discussion with Senator Rand Paul televised on Fox News, where he pushed for making Paul the next chair of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee for a full investigation on Anthony Fauci and COVID-19 can be truthfully conducted. To help fund and grow the campaign, Stone also made various retreats to personally court libertarian-leaning donors such as Peter Thiel, Jeffrey Yass, and Peter Schiff.

Another group that would be intensely sought after: militias and other hands-on grassroots groups. Like no other candidate, Roger Stone has the deepest, richest connections with such groups since even before the Trump administration, but especially accentuated by events such as January 6th. This will be used as proof to members that Stone is the ‘real deal’ and their loyalty should exclusively go to him. Another example to convince the member base is the symbolism around organizing and attending the “Rally of the Patriots” at Apache Lake as one of Stone’s first campaign stops. Stone arranged for several, extended meetings with the leaders of groups such as the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, and Three Percenters to earn their endorsement as well as to coordinate campaign activities once they were ready to declare fealty. On a related note, particular emphasis is placed on cultivating support among gun rights groups such as the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America starting from the campaign’s early days.

Between February and May, Stone would also arrange to have other high-profile events to court endorsements. One was with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, where they stumped together in a Washington, D.C. rally to push for impeachment of President Biden. Another was an anti-DOJ rally with Steve Bannon, where they would share old tales both of their past prosecutions and demand the dropping of all charges against President Trump. Another notable meeting came on the steps of Capitol Hill with Senator Cynthia Lummis, pushing for pro-crypto legislation.

Early States

Looking at the early primaries, the Stone campaign believes that they have the greatest chance of victory in New Hampshire and Nevada, and their efforts will be invested as such. These two states offered the greatest vote shares for Donald Trump of the first four in 2016, and Stone’s obvious connection and appeals to Trump will help parallel the support base in many ways. A secondary focus is Iowa, where Stone with his unique personality and positions can still push through a first place showing by standing out enough. At the moment, the campaign is writing off South Carolina from a realistic chance. This is due not only to Nikki Haley’s home state advantage, but the dominance of Evangelicals and military families that are far less hospitable demographics for someone of Stone’s history and background.

Stone vs. Pence

While making his announcement speech in Ames, IA, former Vice President Mike Pence was interrupted and heckled by fellow Republican candidate Roger Stone. Stone, with a full-on camera crew documenting every angle at his side, laid out the seeming dishonesty and hypocrisy coming from Pence's rhetoric regarding Donald Trump. The full remarks from Stone's ambush follows:

"You're a damn dirty liar, Mike Pence! First you spend four years sucking up to President Trump, begging for his endorsement in 2024, and now what? Now you call him a failure? Now you call him the biggest mistake of your life?

You've just given a big middle finger to the tens of millions of Americans who voted for you and Donald Trump to make this country great again! Ladies and gentlemen, he couldn't defend us on January 6th, and now the man won't even defend his own administration! What the hell sort of record can he even claim to run on?

Why don't you just drop out now and save us the trouble, man?"

As security arrived to escort Stone and the crew out of the stadium, Stone added: "Here comes the Washington establishment's finest to silence any opposing viewpoints. This is why I'm running, folks! RogerStone.com! Jail Biden, Free Trump!"

Just as the Vice President was ready to resume his remarks, one last cry from Stone was heard: "Asshole!"

The ambush in Ames, along with the full course of events leading up to it, was meticulously documented and crafted into a slick, glossy campaign video and mini-documentary titled "Stone vs. Pence." Upon its release the day after, it quickly became a viral sensation—the first of its kind this campaign season.

Making the Most

In the aftermath of the now infamous Pence announcement incident, the Stone campaign quickly moved to capitalize on it. In addition to the viral video produced by the campaign, a 'moneybomb' fundraiser was arranged within the week. This was considered a great success internally. Stone cemented ties with scores of grassroots donors,  including not only the devouts already plugged in to GOP politics, but the more apathetic and disengaged donors who got their attention piqued following the news. Online ads with clips of the ambush were pumped out and disseminated, being microtargeted on platforms such as Facebook and YouTube to reach especially the young, more edgy conservatives along with the middle-aged crowd seemingly most in tune with Trumpism. Places like Twitter have even inundated with memes of Stone emasculating Pence and other RINOs, as the candidate's close ties to that realm pay great dividends.

Having publicity, as Roger Stone himself attests, is better than no publicity. The candidate and his team tried their damnest to craft their messaging of Stone: that he is the "real deal," a "true pro-America conservative," and "the only one with balls" among other key descriptors. This was assisted by the Stone-friendly allies in key online platforms who would amplify the themes, and the messaging also made its way through cable news. Stone, from decades of political consulting, has the deepest friendships of the field with the likes of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham. Stone and his allies would make sure to regularly call in, check up on the personal lives of these Fox hosts, and subtly nudge their news coverage to be in a more favorable direction. This especially would be true once Stone appears on interviews, where he often got to arrange for talks at the top of the news hour to command the greatest number of viewers.

Day for Truth: Vaccines

As the candidates attempted to differentiate themselves, Stone settled with a distinct cleavage point used for the month of May: harness the full anger surrounding COVID and its policies, including the administration of vaccines. Stone can credibly appeal to the anti-vaccine and anti-lockdown crowd as he is personally unvaccinated, nor does he has a muddy record in elected office surrounding these issues. The latter point would be used unsparingly against Ron DeSantis, whom Stone repeatedly refers to as "Ron DeSnaketis" on the campaign trail. A spectacle on these matters was organized by Stone, held in Jacksonville, FL, in the leadup to the first GOP debate. Leading vaccine skeptics such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Joe Rogan, and Bret Weinstein were invited to speak. In addition, the infamous "Freedom Convoy" of truckers gathered to swarm the event stage and the surrounding downtown. To top it all off, Stone secured Kid Rock and Ted Nugent as performing acts in what would be called "The Day for Truth."

Why are we all gathered here today, folks? Is it because this oh-so benevolent government of ours always acts in our best interests? Far from it. The government, the media, and even many of our doctors have lied to you. They have lied to you about the safety of these vaccines. They have lied to you about what this is doing to our parents, our grandparents, and even our precious children. They brush it under the rug, tell you to never speak up, never doubt the system. But, they're just simply wrong. We should speak up, and we are here on this stage, at this very moment.

This is not a partisan issue. Hell, we've had a bipartisan group of speakers joining us today all in the cause of freedom and truth. We're all patriotic Americans and we deserve accountability.

We already know many of the scum like Fauci who have propagated these lies. Now, it's time to turn our attention to the weasels and cowards who are hiding from the wrath they deserve.

Down the street, over at that mansion, resides a certain Ron DeSantis—or, as I like to call him, Ron DeSnaketis. He's a snake because he may claim to be on your side, searching for the truth and punishing the wrongdoers. Where has he been before he started running for President, though? He got the vaccines, pushed people to take the vaccines, and signed into Florida law the clause that these big vaccine manufacturers are shielded from any liability. He may not mention it now, but let's not forget how he subjected Floridians to lockdowns too, myself included. Now he's doing a game of pretending to care about you and your family, and we're supposed to believe it?

Don't buy in to the bullsh**t from DeSnaketis or his chums in the medical industrial complex. They want to keep you sick, overwhelm our hospitals, and reduce our quality of life so they can more easily control you. This is about truth and freedom versus corruption and tyranny. This is what my campaign is all about.

This is the Day for Truth! We're in this together, and we shall prevail!

Practically all of the prominent anti-lockdown and vaccine skeptic crowds were encouraged to join the event, both to bolster attendance for newsworthiness as well as a ripple effect of influencing sympathetic voices to join Stone's side. Stone would make the time to also hold interviews with aligned hosts in alternative media, including the more obscure, and penetrate into the alternative medicine/health and wellness bubble in full force. Other campaigns dance around these topics, although Stone would cotninue making a name for himself as speaking the obvious truth and commanding respect for it. An unorthodox campaign would require unorthodox followers, and Roger Stone was rapidly whipping followers to be fiercely loyal to the movement.

Summer of Stone

In a characteristically self-promoting manner, Roger Stone would deem the next several months of campaigning in public appearances as "the Summer of Stone." Cocky, sure, although not without reason. Stone intended to make the summer, a crucial period for building support, as being the time when he can break away from the mid- and low-polling candidates and stand tall by the man he calls Ron DeSnaketis.

A series of major headlines would emerge from the campaign one by one. The first was the announcement that Steve Bannon would fully back Stone. Not only that, but he would agree to assume the role of campaign manager (which had been handled de facto by Stone himself up to this point). In a statement released by the campaign, Bannon said the following: "Roger Stone is the real deal. One of a kind. The OG, as some folks would deem. He knows better than anyone the rot of this corrupt establishment, silencing and imprisoning dissenters. Roger is the brilliant visionary within the global populist movement who saw the potential of Donald Trump from the beginning. When Trump entered the ring, we've all owed Roger a great deal of gratitude. I am very proud to join the Stone campaign, which will be a direct spiritual continuation of the hard work reclaiming our country that President Trump started. The Republican Party must unite around Roger Stone, our only chance, lest the globalist-annointed candidates rig the system in their favor first."

Bannon as campaign manager would still regularly host his national radio show as a double whammy to benefit the cause. He would host the best and brightest minds in MAGA nationalism to make the case for why Stone is the only candidate who can truly pinpoint and turn out the voters that got Trump elected. For the day-to-day campaign mechanics, Bannon's experience successfully managing Trump 2016 would prove vital to building a robust organization from the bottom up, paired with sky high grassroots enthusiasm. Another advantage Bannon brings to the table is his friendly relations with Republican leadership, including the Freedom Caucus. Stone would also subsequently announce his latest book: Stop the Steal: Restoring American Greatness, One Patriot at a Time. The book details Stone's broad manifesto which he would continue to elaborate upon on the campaign trail.

The Summer of Stone continues. . . .

The Northeast Tour: Law and Order

As the Summer of Stone commenced, the candidate made a big venture into the Northeast which would last for two weeks. Stone, who was born and grew up in Connecticut, is actively working to cultivate his regional son status. One main objective of the trip was to fully capture the New York political machine early on, given Stone's extensive connections to the state dating back to the 1980 Reagan campaign. To this effect, Stone sat down and enthusiastically made his case to the whole of the current NY GOP congressional delegation, who broadly shares his socially moderate, Trumpist agenda (especially the freshmen). Of particular focus for big league wins: Elise Stefanik, the third-ranking member in the House close to President Trump, along with the recently retired Lee Zeldin, widely acclaimed in the party for his organizational skills in the last gubernatorial race. Stone also made time to connect with leaders representing the major public safety unions, along with local powerbrokers including John Catsimatidis, Randy Levine, and Jeffrey Yass.

While canvassing in New York City, Stone had a publicized speech outside 30 Rockefeller Plaza, home of NBC—and, naturally, prime real estate to amplify media coverage. Stone invited Stefanik, Zeldin, and former Mayor Rudy Giuliani to join his side as the candidate focused his speech on a topic of great importance: law and order.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Summer of Stone here in New York City! *applause*

Always great to be back here. I must say, I'm also quite honored to be joined today by the likes of the great Congressman Zeldin, Congresswoman Stefanik, and Mayor Giuliani—representing all parts of this state. You know, I've spent many years in New York. I still consider it a second home. You have folks from all walks of life here hunkering down, doing their best to make their American Dream come true. Unfortunately, that American Dream is becoming harder and harder to come by.

Why? *points behind* Because of the enemy of the people: the fake news media like NBC, CNN, and all of their co-conspirators. What do they do? When they see these thugs pushing Asian grandmas onto incoming trains, looting our mom-and-pop shops, and carjacking anyone in sight, they blame us and encourage these thugs to keep going! After all, they're practicing their freedom of expression—violently. When someone like Lee Zeldin makes a stand for regular people and declares plain and simple that crime is a major problem, crooks like Kathy Hochul ask why crime is such a big deal to him. When real leaders like Rudy Giuliani actually cleaned up crime here in New York, they call them all racist. Well, I don't think getting beat up, mugged, or shot is dependent on skin color. Do you, Mr. Mayor? *laughter*

I see that Eric Adams has talked a big game about this. Mayor Adams, I'd recommend you actually handle the junkie shooting up around the corner and the human excrement laying bare on the street before you go off to run for President. *applause*

This will be the law and order election, and I am the law and order candidate. Make no mistake. For far too long, the American people have been subjected to disgraceful politicians and radical judges who constantly let off the worst among us. Rogue prosecutors with personal vendettas have ruthlessly gone after not only myself and President Trump, but countless others for simply speaking the truth.

All of us are gathered here today to say: no more. Enough of your crap. Do your jobs, support our men and women in law enforcement, and help keep us safe from the real threats. No matter where you come from, what you look like . . . well, maybe the blue-haired Teletubby is a lost cause. *laughter* Let's just say any sane, reasonable person agrees with this notion.

The first president I got to work for, Richard Nixon, spoke of the silent majority. I'm telling you, that silent majority will be loud and blaring in 2024. Let's send a message together that will never be forgotten! Thank you all!

Stone would later make several stops in New Jersey, holding a public courting of Jeff Van Drew and chatting with local donors. However, another main crux of the tour would be to make a large splash in New Hampshire. Law and order would continue to be a large component of the stump speeches as he spent time with voters in smaller venues, along with the continued onslaught against Ron DeSantis for his shady record (and, apparently, even personal background). Stone had strategic meetings and/or public outings with the likes of former Senator Bob Smith, Don Bolduc, Chuck Morse, and former Governor Craig Benson to make inroads with both grassroots and institutional conservatives in the state. Stone also made considerable effort to gain the backing of former Ambassador and Senator Scott Brown, one of the first major politicians to endorse Trump in 2016 and a telegenic figure who can be of great service on the campaign trail.

Roger Stone Debate Responses

Quote
1. An Opening Statement

I'm Roger Stone, tonight's sharpest dressed man on stage. To my fellow candidates and folks watching across the nation, welcome to my dear home of Miami: the land of freedom, beautiful women, and Cuban cigars. I've loyally served as a senior advisor to three presidents: Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and Donald J. Trump. More than anyone else here, I've been at the forefront of the America First movement. I've encouraged my friend President Trump to run as far back as 1988 as I knew he had the spark and the ideas to make this country great again.

I'm a truth teller. As I watch this rotten system continue to cancel, silence, and even jail our fellow patriots, I had no choice but to run. I know their tactics like no other, and I know how to beat them. I hope to earn your support, and let's have some fun together while we're at it.

Quote
2. Raise your hand if you believe that Donald J. Trump is the rightful winner of the 2020 Presidential Election (Say if you raised your hand and if you like, write one or two sentences)

I raised my hand as we have seen with our own eyes the depravity, the desperation, and the pure spite coming from Democrats and the Deep State for all of the Trump years. I question the judgment of those on this stage who are turning a blind eye here.

Quote
3. Who is your favorite Republican President in your lifetime? (Keep your answer concise, 2-4 sentences)

As someone who's worked with every Republican president over the last 50 years, I believe I'm uniquely qualified to say Donald J. Trump. No one else could face the barrel of the entire establishment united against him and come out on top through the will of the people. No one else could redefine the playbook on trade, immigration, and nationalism long neglected by Washington. There is no other like President Trump.

Quote
4. The United States has an out of control inflation problem. The cost of housing, food, energy, and gasoline is spiraling, what will you do to control inflation and bring down costs for working Americans?

Let's start with the obvious: Maybe we shouldn't print and spend trillions upon trillions on who knows what and with no end in sight. Let's actually respect our taxpayers for once and spend wisely for the greatest payoff. That means manufacturing our goods here, producing our energy here, and leading the way in new technology here. We should be the global powerhorse. Not China.

We must also give Americans relief where it actually counts. I'm proposing a temporary suspension of payroll taxes until we get our economic house in order. If working Americans are getting robbed at the grocery store and at the pump, let's not rob them at every paycheck too. If we do some common sense for a change, which these career politicians clearly lack, we'll be getting somewhere.

Quote
5. Will you support a national abortion ban? Would it be after 15 weeks of pregnancy? 10 weeks? 6? Or would you prohibit all elective abortions?

No, I don't support a wholesale national ban. Here's what I believe: I'm pro-life to the core. Every newborn life is God's gift to earth. I also believe in reasonable exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. Most Americans and conservatives stand with me on this.

Personally, I feel that 10 weeks is a fair cutoff. However, I'm a big believer in power to the states—something that many in Washington seem to have stopped caring about lately. Local and state officials are held the most accountable to the people's demands. We can advance the pro-life cause the most effectively by empowering states on abortion. After all, the federal government isn't known for always getting things right.

Quote
To Mr. Stone: Mr. Stone you've run thus far, what many are describing as a "no holds barred" guerrilla campaign. You also have a conviction record. Some have said you're just too crazy to be President. Do you have the dignity and the personality to be a sober President?

Yes, Neil. I'm about to spill a dirty Washington secret for all you folks watching at home: Many of the same establishment creatures who call me nasty things one day are the same people who call or text me the next, begging for my advice. Think about that. Republicans, Democrats, and even Libertarians of all stripes have come seeking my judgment on every matter imaginable.

Why? They know I tell it as it is. I know the game better than anyone, and just like President Trump, they slander you the moment you expose them for who they are. My conviction was the result of the widely discredited Mueller witch hunt which wrongfully targeted many other patriots like General Michael Flynn. It was only through the grace of the Lord and President Trump that I could reclaim my own freedom.

Are my methods unconventional? Certainly. Will I apologize for ruffling the feathers of the RINOs, globalists, and liberals? Never. I owe it to this country I deeply love to fight like hell.

Hispanic Outreach

For the Stone campaign, they believe it is paramount to capture the passion and loyalty of the Hispanic vote early on. Not just among Hispanic conservatives, of course, but making a lasting impression among dozens of millions of Americans as Stone already is building towards his general election strategy. Much is made in the press over the supposed staying power of DeSantis with Latinos, and every campaign claims they are going through heaven and earth to appeal to these voters. For Roger Stone, though, this is personal. This is family.

Meet Nydia Stone: devoted wife of Roger and a proud Cuban-American. A refugee from the homeland, she settled to the U.S. as a young girl and worked her way up through a mix of modeling and photography. Ever since she met Roger Stone at a Reagan 1980 event, the two have madly stayed in love since. Nydia has long been her husband's loudest, proudest supporter, sticking with him and raising awareness when the DOJ actively prosecuted charges against him. Keeping few boundaries between the two, Nydia is just as staunch a conservative as Roger. Perhaps the most major difference is her softer touch.

Nydia, in many ways, will be the campaign's secret weapon for success.

As the summer unfolded and campaigns began investing more on paid media, Stone would wisely invest in untapped, neglected markets. This included Spanish radio, which encompasses a wide spectrum of ethnic groups, subject matters, and programs. Nydia would begin being a frequent guest on many of these nationally syndicated programs, talking about her heritage, how she fell in love with Roger and his vision, along with why Roger offers the best path forward for all Latinos in realizing the American Dream. When possible, Nydia also tries making enough noise on the television front to be invited to in-studio appearances on channels including Telemundo, Univision, and Estrella TV.

Soon, the campaign would introduce an ad featuring Nydia (speaking in Spanish) to be heavily circulated on these radio stations, along with a smaller but recurring investment on TV. The translation of the ad is as follows:

"Hello, I'm Nydia Stone. When I first met my husband Roger Stone at a Ronald Reagan event, I knew right away what passion this man has. He does not pay mind to who you are, where you come from, or what your life circumstances are. Roger Stone wants to do everything in his power to give each and every one of us a chance to succeed. From the single mother, to the college student, to the factory worker, we all contribute to this country we love. Roger knows that and lives that as we have raised our beautiful children together, now with children of their own.

He understands our people, our culture, and our dreams. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Take it from this proud Latino woman. Join us on this campaign to make the American Dream stronger than ever before."

Expenditures for the ad would be highest in the five following states: Nevada, Florida, California, New York, and Texas.

Of particular focus for microtargeting is Americano Media, a relatively new but widely expanding network for Latino conservatives. Both Roger and Nydia would arrange multiple talks with its executives and on-air personalities, establishing their conservative credentials unique for their depth of understanding of Latino issues. Another gain is fortifying trusted relations with these key media groups as voters soon begin to pay more attention to the primaries.

Separate from media appearances, Roger Stone would be highly active with becoming a familiar, and trusted, face among influential Latino Republicans. One main target for outreach is the Congressional Hispanic Conference. Stone made his pitch to Chair Mario Diaz-Balart and Vice Chair Tony Gonzales while stopping in DC, arguing that he has long been ahead of the curve in pushing an inclusionary party that recognizes the cultural values and attitudes on work shared by Latinos. It was only through the last two election cycles that the GOP realized they could become a dominant majority by converting their vote, and Stone is best equipped to understand their impulses and persuade voters. Stone would proceed to have separate meetings individually with the other Conference members.

Outside of Capitol Hill, Stone proceeded to hold several noteworthy outreach events. The most high profile was a joint fundraiser held with Mayor Francis Suarez and rapper (and occasional conspiracy theorist) Pitbull in Miami for humanitarian work in Cuba. Outside of the event, Stone would bond with Mayor Suarez over their shared advocacy of cryptocurrencies. With Pitbull, they would talk about their shared skepticism of certain vaccines. While in Florida, Stone hosted a livestream with Sen. Marco Rubio where they mainly talked regarding the Cuban embargo and how Washington should best handle Latin American policy with the new regimes in charge. Making a stop in Texas, Stone visited the border and invited Sen. Ted Cruz, along with Reps. Tony Gonzales, Monica De La Cruz, and former Rep. Maya Flores, to have a roundtable discussion on the importance of border security for these communities.

As Stone spent considerable time across Nevada in the summer, he would take the lessons of his outreach and apply it towards a meticulous model for identifying likely Latino supporters. Once these supporters were targeted, the next step was to convince as many as possible to become active within their state campaign. Under the best projections, the campaign would see a ripple effect of heavy organization plus word of mouth monopolizing the Latino bloc in Stone's camp. Even with that particular goal far away, the more immediate objective is to blunt the stranglehold that DeSantis currently possesses. This would be done through a combination of allusions to scandal, deceiving political opportunism claims against the Governor, along with vivid examples of how Stone understands their stories and their lives.

Roger Stone Debate Rebuttals

On Mike Pence's announcement to exit the race:

Good riddance. What a maniac.

On defending Kari Lake:

There's been some BS attacks thrown against my friend Kari Lake when it comes to her past support, and I've got to step in here. So, allow me to inject a bit of historical perspective for those here who forgot certain inconvenient truths. Ronald Reagan was a Democrat who voted for Democrats. Donald Trump was a Democrat who voted for Democrats. Some of our greatest conservative presidents may not have started out as diehard Republicans, but they forged their own path to the light. We must continue growing this party and have more folks like Kari come to our side. That's what my campaign is all about.

Being a lifelong Republican doesn't mean much if you're also a lifelong RINO. Just saying.

On calling out Ron DeSantis:

There's a reason why you're now universally known as Ron DeSnaketis, Governor. You claim to be the second coming of Trump, new and improved. But, when you were asked who's the most inspirational person you've met, you said Bush 41. Not exactly a rock-ribbed conservative. You pretend to fight Big Pharma, but you've shielded Pfizer and their kind from liability. When you were in Congress, you supported disastrous trade deals like TPP. Trade was one of the biggest reasons Trump first ran, and you never gave a hoot about our workers before he came along. You long cheered on the reckless military adventures started by Bush 43 that cost us trillions of dollars and thousands of lives.

Need I mention your big money donors, the ones who begged you to run? They're the same Bush-Romney neocons who flooded our borders, gutted our industries, and tried to stop Trump from the very beginning. We all see through you, Ron. The question is if you're ever willing to come clean about it.

On responding to Larry Hogan's attack:

Nice attempt at sounding like a Trump conservative, Larry, but you'll have to try harder next time. Believe it or not, there are plenty of people around the world who also deserve their freedom and liberties. Reagan talked about this all the time. If I can help inspire our neighbors to the north break free from socialism without sacrificing my loyalty to this country, just as I've done, that's a beautiful thing. What have you ever done that actually amounts to something, Governor?

Man of God

The last several years have witnessed great fluctuation for Roger Stone. Not just for his legal troubles and for his involvement with various right-wing groups. This also goes for his core identity: his faith. During the time when he was under the microscope of the Mueller investigation, Stone found Jesus Christ and fully accepted him into his life again. Stone, a Catholic since birth, would now claim to be born again after having had a extended private conversation with Reverend Franklin Graham. Although critics of Stone would call this a deeply cynical move to gain sympathy, Stone and his closest allies would make sure to convey to the world that this is genuine now that he is running. Stone is a changed man—at least in some ways.

On the campaign trail, Stone would often invoke Christian themes in his speeches. One of the most notable examples frequently used is how, when he describes prosecutors from the Mueller team, they would instead be referred to as "persecutors." The life of Stone would be made out as a redemption arc—from the sins to the graces, the indictments to the pardon, and everything in between. Stone makes a point about being transparent on his wild personal past, both to bring home the message of redemption and to also cleverly blunt the impact of any future attacks from primary opponents ahead of time.

Given the dominant influence of Evangelicals and social conservatives in the Republican Party, as well as having decades of experience in the political trenches, Stone is uniquely aware of what it takes to win the nomination. These voter blocs would theoretically be up in arms over a candidate coming in with a libertine reputation and certain socially moderate or even libertarian views. However, one candidate in Donald Trump perfected the art of earning their trust over time. Stone would fight with fire and brimstone to do the same.

Stone recognizes from the onset that there are already multiple candidates—such as Ron DeSantis, Josh Hawley, and Kristi Noem—more naturally attuned to social conservatives. However, he doesn't necessarily need to be their first choice; he just needs to build up respectable margins and also not invoke organized opposition around his candidacy. A influential bloc within the social conservatives that Stone believes he can become the first choice of is the so-called "Christian nationalists." These voters self-describe as extremely patriotic, often aligning with many of the same movements and organizations that Stone and colleagues have extensive relations with. A key emissary to the Christian nationalists will be General Michael Flynn, a beloved figure of the Republican grassroots who also couches his language in religious tones. Flynn will attest to the convictions and principles that Stone holds on all fronts: from livestreams with influential bloggers to rallies with likeminded patriots, which he already conducts on a regular basis. The Stone campaign believes that, by rallying the Christian nationalists, they can gain a distinct organizational advantage on the ground over other candidates in the MAGA lane. This can be especially beneficial in a state like Iowa with its caucus model and the fierce competition for religious-minded voters.

To gather more institutional support among the Christian right, Stone makes great overtures toward former Gov. Mike Huckabee: a prominent Evangelical who is nonetheless a fierce pro-Trump voice. Stone would come on Huckabee's television show several times over the summer to pitch his credentials and also discuss his personal journey. However, Stone would make no bigger effort behind the scenes than to land the endorsement of Reverend Franklin Graham himself. Franklin, son of Billy, was the one who guided Stone on his current path. No other candidate has just the intimate connection with the Reverend that he does. Graham has also been one of President Trump's fiercest defenders through thick and thin, adding another area of bonding. Having Reverend Graham's support would mark both a personal honor and a political coup.

In September, Stone asked the Reverend whether he would be interested in organizing a joint prayer breakfast, to which he agreed to the notion. A prayer breakfast would be held later that month in Davenport, IA. Stone invited other notable figures to the event—including Huckabee, Ben Carson, Mike Lindell, Rand Paul, and Ted Cruz—in a show of solidarity across the GOP. During the breakfast, Stone prayed for the health and safety of his fellow countrymen; that all political prisoners, including President Trump, could be freed as he was; and for "the vanquishing of all wicked demons who roam the land."

After making a stop in Nashua, NH, mingling with local police unions and discussing public safety issues, Roger Stone took questions from reporters as he walked out. Among them related to recent criticisms aired out by Kristi Noem to Evangelical leaders:

REPORTER: Mr. Stone, what do you have to say about the recent criticisms from Governor Noem about your personal life?

STONE: Let me state for the record that I'm a big fan of Kristi Noem. The Governor has done a lot for her state, and she's no doubt fierce. I find her latest tangents hypocritical, though, sad to say. I've been more than open about my life, at every stage, not just when I started running for President. And, yes, my relationship with Christ is now stronger than ever. The voters will make their judgment, not politicians, and I fully trust them.

Governor Noem has not been transparent about her personal affairs. I happen to know a thing or two about matters behind closed doors. If the Governor really wants to go down this path, she would be wise to fess up now. Otherwise, you folks in the media are most definitely salivating to learn more soon.

Biden and Trump

Over the summer, like no other, the Stone campaign was intent on fully capitalizing on the new DOJ charges brought against Trump. After all, no one in the field could be a better communicator on the unjustness than Stone, who faced overlapping charges and was rammed by the full force of the legal-media industrial complex. The hope from Stone with raising attention to the cause is that he can continue to build momentum among the base, who has been long saturated with tales about government malice and wrongdoing on the prosecutorial side, as well as stand out among the field to Trump in particular. How will this be done? Through a variety of attention-grabbing methods, naturally.

Immediately after the new charges dropped in early July, Stone—with Steve Bannon at his side—scheduled a meeting with the whole of the Freedom Caucus. This persecution of Trump has to be addressed, Stone said, and he is the only one who has bothered to mount a resistance campaign. Stone would stress his deep roots and credentials with grassroots conservative causes as he hopes to collect endorsements from this power bloc over time. Near the end of the meeting, Stone dropped an announcement: he would be organizing a flash rally in DC, and they were all invited.

This rally—held outside the White House on July 21st—would attract scores of conservative politicians, Trump loyalists, and various right-wing agitators. Stone went the direction of being big and bold, offering speaking slots to the likes of Alex Jones, Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Michael Flynn. Perhaps the greatest standout, however, was Tucker Carlson—the Fox host who most forcefully spoke up against the charges, even as Stone has quietly been working on charming Hannity and Ingraham over the months as well. All spoke passionately about their experiences fighting the establishment and the importance of direct action. As Stone got up to speak to the world, his remarks included the following:

The hits keep on coming, don't they? It's like they pull a rabbit out of their hat, keeping us in suspense. Or, I swear, they just indict somebody based on their mood. Tucker said it perfectly the other night: If they can target President Trump, they can target any of you. I know this all too well. You're all here with us today because you understand the corruption we're facing, the sheer brazenness of them trying to lock up pro-America voices left and right. This DOJ is getting high on their own supply, and you know Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are laughing their asses off over this mockery. Sick.

My friend, the one and only Marjorie Taylor Greene, introduced articles of impeachment on Biden early this year. Astoundingly, none of the other Republicans but myself have ever brought this up or bothered to care. That should tell you something about where they stand. Where I stand is with the voices of liberty all across the nation, furious over how this government continues to shackle and undermine the people at every turn. It's time to send a clear message that they live by rules too.

Speaker Scalise, I know you're listening. Open up the impeachment inquiry immediately. Get down to the nitty gritty and expose the full corruption of the DOJ and Deep State. Show the world that we stand with our working men and women who are being silenced by threat or force every single day. They will continue to break President Trump and the rest of you until we put our foot down and say, "enough."

This won't end with today's rally, by the way. I'm going to make that very clear. My campaign will activate the simmering rage of the American people across the nation, whether these sons of bitches in Washington like it or not. Get ready.

What Stone alluded to in his speech that day would soon play out as "impeach-a-thons": closely coordinated events by the campaign where they would compel attendees to call and write to their representatives, demanding impeachment. Two main benefits emerged from the impeach-a-thons. One is that public pressure is progressively mounting on Congress to consider impeachment, knowing the wrath of the base. Another for Stone is that the campaign, through required disclosures to sign first, obtains the contact information of attendees right away before they pressure lawmakers. This greatly opens the door to fielding new, permanent staff and volunteers through prior engagement; expanding the pool of citizens used for daily fundraising; as well as tapping into a distinct issue that the other candidates can now only play catch-up on. These events are regularly deployed in the early states over the summer as Stone treks his way. Beyond Stone, though, other prominent surrogates break off into separate events for filling the gaps. This is thought by the campaign internally to be a new, innovative approach for bulking up their footsoldiers and overall organization as the first primaries slowly make their way around the corner.

Black, Manafort & Stone

Upon the conclusion of the Summer of Stone, the polls came in and the candidate was left frustrated. He was expecting big league bounces across the board, not marginal inching up. Although even the press had to acknowledge the solid punches he gave DeSantis at the debate, the clown car primary was manifesting itself to not give Stone the proper recognition as the truest-to-form, one-of-a-kind MAGA candidate.

Stone's ire grew. He knew he must absolutely pummel the opposition—and he would, especially the RINOs and backstabbers. He knew he must also continue honing in on the fundamental messages that work best. One issue that Stone would like to address right away is to sharpen his campaign's organization to be top notch—the best of the best—and ruthlessly efficient against the competition. Bannon was doing a solid job managing the campaign, particularly with consolidating America First voices across the spectrum, but his capacities have been stretched thin with the staff and volunteers still exhibiting the loose, informal networks of the early days. There would need to be more direction, more organization, and vitally more people to perform the job.

Stone knew exactly who to turn to for a remake.

Enter Paul J. Manafort. Made infamous to the public during the Trump years, the man has for decades been a political hot commodity and an undisputed master at the craft. Honing in on his connections and skills since the days of Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, Manafort has operated as everything from an advisor, delegate hunter, and RNC director. His expertise was widely sought domestically and abroad, electing presidents across multiple countries. Manafort first befriended and partnered with Stone in the 1980s when they launched their consulting group, Black, Manafort & Stone. Their paths would cross again on a number of occasions later, most notably when they separately supported and worked to elect Donald Trump. Both men also bear the scars of the subsequent Special Counsel investigation, possibly cementing their legacies until they received the official presidential pardons.

At the beginning of October, it was announced that Stone hired Manafort as Deputy Campaign Manager. Manafort would oversee the day-to-day activities of integrating staff operations, opening/expanding field offices, investing in training, and conducting research for optimal campaign outcomes. Another task that Manafort will handle, having years of specialized experience, is the recruiting and whipping of pro-Stone delegates that will be instrumental in the case of a brokered convention (which the campaign sees as very feasible). Bannon as the head would be in charge of the big-picture items including state strategies, advertising/media decisions, and GOTV efforts. This arrangement plays to the unique strengths of Bannon and Manafort, having been mutually agreed upon by all parties.

Stone looped in another old friend and partner during this time: Charlie Black, whose last name also reflected in their former consulting group. Black, who has worked on campaigns for John McCain and John Kasich, accepted a more hands-off, informal role as Senior Advisor as a favor to his friend. He is thought to mainly be involved as a bridge to moderate and establishment elements in the GOP wary of Stone at this stage. Given how much the primaries can change at any moment, and given Stone's intentions to fight this battle for the long haul, being prepared on all fronts is paramount for success.

Stone intends to succeed. In fact, he will make sure of it.

God-Given Rights

As the candidates sharpened their messages in the lead-up to the primaries, Roger Stone gained new focus and clarity amidst his opponents' bickering. He must do more to prove himself, show the nation that his convictions lie squarely within the heart and soul of the GOP. Voters know Stone is a fighter, but what is he fighting for? This is the question that Stone will especially hone on for the fall as he hopes to crescendo into unstoppable momentum by the first ballots.

An untapped reservoir of great importance to the Republican base: gun rights. Stone has long been adamant on the Second Amendment, having spoken out for years on the necessity of self-defense against thugs and tyranny alike. Starting in October after the campaign shakeup, Stone proceeded to hit heavily on quickly establishing himself as the pro-gun candidate in the race, leaving no room for opponents to outflank him on the issue. Not only would he oppose any new federal gun control measures, but he would fully endorse the wide spectrum of state nullification efforts for gun laws.

Stone notably attended the convention of the Gun Owners of America, seeking their endorsement and also making his stance familiar to the countless gun owners ranking this issue as a top priority. Excerpts of Stone's remarks follow:

Ladies and gentlemen, you want a champion for your constitutional, God-given rights? Look no further. Many of my Republican colleagues running merely pay lip service to you and stab our backs the next. They hedge, they sway, they compromise. You will never get that from President Stone.

Here's what I pledge to you and to the nation: As President, I will veto any bill that contains a whiff of restrictions on your right to bear arms. If Washington thinks they can get away with stuffing some shady provisions in a budget or bloated omnibus, they're sorely mistaken. We must do more than that, however. My administration will push to repeal the unconstitutional NFA and GCA that permits much of the gun grabbing done by the gun grabbers. No longer will this government have their prized gun database to abuse at their disposal.

There will no doubt be hell raised from the elites in both parties. Let them. Regardless of what Congress has the spine or willpower to do, my Justice Department will give states the full freedom to embrace the Constitution and enforce their own gun policies. *loud cheers*

This is the leadership sorely lacking in the Washington class. Patriots like all of you in this room have been stymied, shut down, disrespected, and tossed around for far too long. I know personally just how low these feds are willing to go. Our rights and liberties actually mean something, deriving from God and enshrined in our laws. No longer will the tyrants have their way.

This is our moment! We must rise up, defend our freedoms, and make America an unvarnished beacon of liberty once more!

Stone would make similar remarks at state chapters of the National Rifle Association, as well as mingling with top NRA leadership to persuade them on his campaign's merits. In the two top early primaries aggressively targeted by Stone, New Hampshire and Nevada, Stone merged his law and order messaging with his gun freedom rhetoric, arguing that even local law enforcement disdains the federal overreach on gun control. To aid with this, Stone spent extensive time campaigning with local sheriffs and rallying police unions to his movement. A key group targeted is the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, led by Richard Mack. Nevada's top former sheriff, Joe Lombardo, is a heavy focus of the Stone campaign for a game changer endorsement. Stone had a publicized visit with Governor Lombardo in early November, speaking on everything from gun rights to rebuilding Nevada industries post-COVID, all while staying in regular communication through phone calls and aide meetings. Additionally, Stone would double down on securing the loyalty of the militia movement, particularly concentrated in the West. Stone fielded productive conversations with leaders of the Oath Keepers, Minutemen Project, as well as smaller state militias.

Moving forward, Stone would have more discipline on the issues than ever. He would define the race and force the field to follow.

The Joe Rogan Experience

In early December, Stone earned the opportunity of a lifetime: an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, the nation's most popular and influential podcast. Stone sat down with Rogan in his Austin, TX, studio to pitch his candidacy and discuss issues of the day:

ROGAN: You've done some wild sh**t, dude. You've said some wild sh**t, too.

STONE: I readily admit that. Sometimes you need to be a little outrageous to make a difference. You know, my life is an open book, Joe. I have nothing to hide. I've never lived my life as a politician because I've never been a politician. Voters appreciate that. I'm a man who speaks his mind and calls out bullsh**t. You're not going to always agree with me, nor do I expect people to, but you know that I actually believe in something. That's part of what I feel the Stone charm is all about.

Compare that to the career politicians, the Governors and Senators running across both parties. They often have something to hide. They focus test every last word of theirs down to the syllable and mold their story to an image they're not always actually like. When their words don't match up to reality, we've got to call them out on that. So, consider Roger Stone as a diamond in the rough in that regard.

ROGAN: Here's the thing, also. Like . . . you're known as Trump's guy, and you've done a lot to stick up for the former President, but I've followed you for years and there are so many more dimensions to you than just that. You're much more of a libertarian, which I dig. You've done these big exposés on the Bushes, the Clintons, JFK. Everyone else has been scared to really talk about some of these big issues under the surface like overreach on vaccines and big tech censorship. I mean, you're-

STONE: A free spirit.

ROGAN: Exactly. And that's what I find so refreshing about you.

STONE: Well, I'm just going to add that I'm much more in touch with the regular Joe than many of my counterparts running. That's because I've always actually been on the ground, soaking in real people's thoughts and feelings about our country, and we march together for our freedoms. You know as well as I do, Joe, that many of these guys will leave their cushy offices once in a while, nod their heads at their town halls, maybe do a drive-by fist pump, and then immediately call their donors ready to hear their next instructions. I've seen the worst of the worst over my time. My campaign is about representing real people, working class people of all stripes, and being their conduit to make an actual, substantive change in our lives. This country has been screwed over by the elitists and the professional class for far too long.

ROGAN: Couldn't agree more. I'll mention, by the way, that you've shined a spotlight on the record of Ron DeSantis that he probably doesn't want people to know about. I know I've learned a thing or two. You really think he's a snake?

STONE: A particularly venomous one. He's carefully curated a certain image, but I don't at all begrudge his supporters. You want to believe in the best of a person, after all. An important role of the primaries is to educate the public on the candidates over time, and I'll continue doing my part to make my own case while exposing who might be acting more in bad faith.

ROGAN: Man, one thing everyone can agree on is you'll do it in your own signature Roger Stone way.

STONE: Got that right. *laughs*

This appearance is considered to be a pivotal moment for Stone as the new year approaches. Stone gave his pitch to millions of viewers and listeners, many of whom are not typically devoted to Republican affairs. The candidate doubled down on being the most authentically Trumpist voice running, but he was also able to highlight his unique background, positions, and outsider message to prove that he is far from a one-trick pony. One might even call him a man of the people—the candidate far more attuned and responsive to regular voters than his opponents, especially those long ambitious in elected office.

After the interview, the campaign certainly hopes to have made a lasting impression on Rogan and count him as a supporter. Even beyond Rogan the man, however, the campaign is diligently picking up on the support of the broadly disaffected: those who may be on the outskirts of the GOP, those who may not neatly fit in either party, and even those who do not participate much in the political process. In other words, those not unlike Rogan. Stone believes he has the message, the connections, and the organization best equipped to capitalize on these voters. As the campaign recruits and motivates these supporters over time, their presence may be especially prominent in open primary states like New Hampshire that allow easier access to participate. For primaries and caucuses closed to registered Republicans, the Stone campaign has built the greatest foundation of the field to identify supporters of differing affiliations, establish regular contact, and subsequently provide ample guidance and motivation to change registrations. From there, new Republicans (as well as old) also receive the latest information on how the primaries and caucuses will be set up for their states.

Deconstruction of the Administrative State

Putting more money in Americans' hands. Getting government out of the way. Those have been some longstanding conservative mantras, although there have been fewer advocates for the cause that are as eclectic as Roger J. Stone. As Stone and the other candidates enter the final stretch before primaries begin in earnest, the longtime political consultant sharpened and articulated his own economic message—as well as his ultimate goal of the "deconstruction of the administrative state," as confidant Steve Bannon has put it.

The message would be easily digestible, not to mention highly flashy and ambitious. It would also strongly appeal to the fiscal conservatives and libertarians in the party who have been routinely ignored by the rhetoric from opponents. Even while doing this, Stone would maintain his Trumpist integrity by standing firm against cutting entitlement programs.

At a publicized address headlining a FreedomWorks event in Manchester, NH, Stone dived headfirst into the direction he would like to see America:

Live Free or Die! Who better than Roger Stone to represent the proud people of New Hampshire?

We've seen a lot of talk from my fellow candidates about how they'll claim to help you and the economy. There are some nice ideas mixed in, to be fair. But, more often than not, I think a lot of them are missing the big picture. They talk about cutting taxes in broad brushes, but they don't seem to acknowledge how the whole tax system is built to rob us blind. They put nice ribbons and bows on stopping government abuse, but they won't dare to press the brakes and put some reform with real meat to it.

Over my many years of fighting for conservative causes, I've been disappointed by the opportunities that came and went because we weren't bold enough. I know the system better than anyone, and I know exactly what it takes to knock these bastards down on behalf of we the people. So, let's get started.

The same IRS that makes a fortune off of our fortunes, audits us for the most frivolous of reasons, and doesn't even do their basic job right will not have a friend in a Stone administration. In fact, I intend to abolish the IRS. And, yes, the whole damn income tax will be going away as well. *cheers*

What do we replace them with? A short and sweet sales tax, 15%. You can fill it out on one page. Better yet, the middle class and less fortunate will receive exemptions for basic goods that will offset any regressive effects. That's more money coming to you and your families, your hard earned money. Everybody wins under Stone.

When people talk about the Deep State, they're not always so secret as you might think. They gloat about all the levers they have at their disposal to spy on you, track you down, go after your livelihoods, and even worse. This happened to me, it's happening to President Trump now, and I can't begin to detail the countless others. It's all rooted in the most corrupt of systems, and we've got to dismantle it top to bottom. As President, I will use every possible executive tool to squash and throw out the political hacks in our agencies. I'm talking about the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, you have it. They have to be cleansed from the inside and be left with our best and brightest patriots.

That's only the beginning of our long, hard struggle, though. The truth is that our government is so bloated and rampant that it requires permanent structural fixes. That's why I'm calling for a new, 21st century Constitutional Convention under Article V. We would have a once-in-a-lifetime shot at actually dismantling the worst elements of this rogue state. This will be a government  finally accountable to us, made by us. I call upon all of my fellow candidates to join me on making our leaders act immediately. Getting this done will take electing a few more Republicans in a few more states, but we will get there.

With God and liberty on our side, we will prevail!

Immediately after the address, Stone incorporated these themes into his stump speech regularly throughout the fall and winter. Stone would be the candidate who most thoroughly taps into the economic anxieties of voters living paycheck to paycheck, seeing their hard earned dollars eaten away by inflation, and perpetually stressed by how much the feds claim the money that should instead go to their own families. At the same time, Stone also builds up credibility in those who wish to see the whole system burn down by the hands of a fellow victim.

This also opened the door for a more aggressive push on sympathetic institutional support. In addition to FreedomWorks, other large organizations that received strong pitches from the Stone camp included Americans for Prosperity, Club for Growth, Americans for Tax Reform, and Tea Party Patriots. Jim DeMint, a former president of the Heritage Foundation who now founded the Citizens for Self-Governance group (focused on the Constitutional Convention that Stone favors), had a prominent meeting with the candidate in South Carolina. Another was with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a revolutionary in his own right who intimately understands the process of dismantling systems of old.

On the grassroots side, the Stone campaign sees prime opportunity to absorb the remnants of the Tea Party movement. One example of this was the public courting of Sarah Palin, who still maintains her loyal fans. The libertarian movement goes without saying as another target for strong appeals. Within New Hampshire, Roger Stone has been going into overdrive to earn the endorsement and coordination of the Free State Project, devoted to making the state a libertarian haven and boasting a sizable number of local legislators under their belt. Nevada also sees much of this activity, as its libertine nature is fertile ground for the anti-tax and anti-state fervor through its sparse rural lands. Slowly but surely, Iowa would see some more investment on these fronts as well.

Beheading the Snake

Over his years as Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis has garnered a commanding power over his state. The state party and government has largely been beholden to him, and he has exercised great powers from that. However, there's always been an undercurrent of discontent over the Governor's practices. There are those with simmering resentment over DeSantis, who is not exactly known as the most personable figure in interactions. Certain acts of his in office have also been quite alienating. There is also, of course, the many stories dripping out regarding improper conduct.

In late October, a significant puncture is to be made in the armor of DeSantis. Roger Stone invited Matt Gaetz and Anna Paulina Luna, both vocal in exposing deceit and corruption, to come along for a press conference in Jacksonville. They would call out DeSantis forcefully and demand accountability. Stone's remarks are as follows:

Good morning, everyone. Today I'm standing side by side with the honorable Congressman Gaetz and Congresswoman Luna because we all demand truth. There's been an utter plague of rumors, scandals, and other stories coming out about Governor Ron DeSantis for months now. While I can't claim to know just what is true and what is not, I do know this: Where there's smoke, there's fire. We've seen this time and time again with other governors in other states.

Governor DeSantis—who I won't refer to by his other name today out of courtesy *laughter*—has browbeat the State of Florida into always getting his way. He thinks he's above the rest of us and that the same rules don't apply to him. Clearly he believes someone like Andrew Cuomo is a good role model to look up to. Just like Cuomo, though, things have a way of eventually catching up to you.

The three of us are hereby calling on the Florida Legislature to open up nonpartisan investigation proceedings on DeSantis and his office. Has the Governor and his team abused powers and gone against the laws of Florida? To what extent has DeSantis had knowledge or involvement in any schemes or other acts, illegal and unethical? There have been credible reports of corruption, conflicts of interest, and outright bullying coming out for years across the political spectrum. They deserve to be looked into with a fair and open mind.

This is not a witch hunt, nor do we want this to be. Matt and I are especially familiar with how that goes. *laughter* What we want as constituents of Governor DeSantis, as fellow Floridians, is basic accountability. After an impartial investigation, the record will speak for itself. The truth will prevail.

With that, I'll turn it over to Matt and Anna.

Rainbow Coalition

During his announcement speech in January, Roger Stone promised to build a "multiracial, multigenerational, working class Republican Party." More than any other Republican candidate, Stone would actually make good on this approach both in terms of messaging and in outreach. It all begins with the campaign.

Since the summer, the Stone campaign has made good inroads into the Hispanic-American community across all its ethnicities. Now the campaign would accelerate their efforts into overdrive. Evidence of this was the fact that Stone himself has been brushing up on his Spanish to more easily deploy on the campaign trail and in Spanish-language advertisements. His wife Nydia, who has been a hit on the media appearances she has loyally done over the months, would now officially hit the stump starting in the fall: both paired with Roger and also solo to maximize campaign coverage.

The campaign believes they have a magic ingredient to accelerating Stone's support with Latinos: his Catholic faith, a rarity among the field. Latinos are overwhelmingly Catholic, and they also tend to be more devout. Roger and Nydia would make a practice of attending Hispanic-dominated churches one by one, preaching how his renewed Catholicism has changed him, made him a better man, and how his unique family bonds help further to understand their communities better than anyone. Over time, they would mold the narrative to Hispanic churchgoers that Stone is all about faith, family, freedom, and aspiring to the American Dream.

Another main component to Stone's outreach would be canvassing various Latino-owned businesses. Stone would make the rounds with carpenters and other tradesmen to stress his blue collar immigrant roots; he would connect with store owners and entrepreneurs to highlight the benefits of his tax policies for their business and families, along with how his bold law and order rhetoric assures that criminals threatening their lives and livelihoods would not sleep at night. Stone also appealed to notable Hispanic conservatives in business and media to have his platform amplified. Among the names that he met with included TV host Geraldo Rivera, radio host Tito the Builder, activist Mauro Mujica, businessman Larry Rubin, and most notoriously rapper Lil Pump. During campaigning in Nevada, Stone and his wife took the bold step of meeting with former Governor Brian Sandoval: someone much more moderate than Stone's reputation, but somebody who possibly could be swayed by the level of dedication that the candidate has towards the community.

These activities would naturally be concentrated in Nevada as the first primary to prominently feature Latinos among the population, although the Stone campaign has made sure to microtarget the small pockets of Latinos living in Iowa and New Hampshire, particularly in their urban areas. The campaign is also investing significant expenditures toward boosting Stone with positive radio and TV ads in Hispanic media on the referenced themes, along with negative ads hitting DeSantis as two-faced, weak on crime, and morally questionable. Even beyond the first primaries, Stone is already looking ahead to fortify strong ground game operations in Super Tuesday states and beyond. Particular states of focus for Latino voters are California, Colorado, and Texas, where Stone believes he can edge out the competition through enthusiastic GOTV among his eclectic base.

There is another demographic where the campaign believes they can dominate: African-Americans. Stone has watched the outreach coming from Nikki Haley and has simply laughed at a candidate not properly reading the room. Black conservatives tend not to be squishy like Haley or Tim Scott. On the contrary, they are often much like Stone: further on the right, with hard-nosed, edgy flairs to their style. Very soon, just like with Latinos, the candidate is expecting that Blacks for Stone will become a real movement.

Given that black conservatives are often elevated to prominence in media, Stone first takes a media-heavy approach. Stone orchestrated a livestream with commentator Candance Owens on the real issues facing black America and how RINOs like Haley assume they know what is best for voices like herself. Back in Florida, Stone arranged a talk with the rising Byron Donalds, who also happens to belong in the Freedom Caucus that the candidate is hoping for the support of. Stone has also long maintained friendly relations with Ben Carson, who recently dropped out of the race, and sat in prayer with the doctor as they discussed the epidemic of aborted black children.

Going into the outreach, Stone already had some heavyweight voices in his column. Silk (formerly of the duo Diamond and Silk) would produce viral videos hyping Stone. Allen West, former Florida congressman and former Texas GOP chair, has the connections nationwide to organize African-American support in conservative circles. However, none of the early supporters would be as notable and vital as Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr. Stone and King made some high profile visits to conservative black churches across Alabama, Arkansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas as part of the broader Super Tuesday strategy. King touted Stone's frankness, fighting spirit, and unpretentiousness as just the kind of traits that make him the best choice in 2024.

There would also be notable outreach to tap into the Asian community, although Stone believes that Glenn Youngkin has enough of a head start on Asians where he would remain in the lead with them for a while. For now, however, Stone would attempt to claim the vocal minority of Asian conservatives and crowd out any other opponents from building serious efforts. Stone would beat the drum loudest of the issues of crime (as the self-proclaimed law and order candidate), the economy (by sharply reducing taxes and bringing the federal government to order), along with Stone's personal wedge issue thrown in of affirmative action and the policy's unjust consequences toward the Asian community.

The 11/8 Address

After the tragic events of 11/8, Roger Stone stepped out to deliver a televised address for a primetime audience. A curious nation tuned in to hear one of the most striking speeches in recent political history:

Good evening.

What happened on November 8th is an absolute tragedy. This is undeniable. I extend my heart out to the families of those brave officers and the DOJ employee whose lives were tragically cut short. My prayers are for peace across this great land.

There are political opportunists crawling out, accusing me and my campaign as being responsible for this or somehow having some involvement. Allow me to set the record straight. I absolutely, categorically condemn this violent act and these perpetrators. I have never called for breaking the law. I stand with our men and women in law enforcement, through thick and thin. These individuals were not known by myself or by my campaign. They were lone wolves, with their own agenda.

This country is going through a lot of hurt right now. There is a lot of anger. Grave injustices are being waged by the ruling class, backed by a complicit media and their mouthpieces in elected office. When they continue to constrict the American people, cornering them at every opportunity, there will be some who are convinced that acts of desperation like this grave attack are the only way. This is sadly what happened here.

That is not the only way, though. Americans deserve a leader who understands their concerns and fears. When you talk, and when you listen, you reduce conflict and you reduce violence. My campaign is about being a voice for the voiceless, giving power to the powerless. My campaign is about being a constructive force for good, finally uniting Americans of all backgrounds under a common message of standing for them and not the ruling class. Yes, we're often rambunctious, but that's what regular folks are like!

You will surely see some of my opponents try to take advantage of 11/8, claiming that I'm a danger, claiming that I should drop out. Let me just say, politicizing the loss of these lives is simply wrong. My resolve to fight for this beautiful country has only grown stronger. There are millions of hard-working, upstanding, patriotic Americans who have no blame for this act. They cannot be punished for the acts of a few, nor will we let them.

Our campaign is a movement. This movement has the momentum. This movement will stay strong and persevere. We will not be shaken down by the forces who have brought America to the low point it's at today. We are breaking new grounds as a peaceful, democratic movement. We will show up, we will vote, and we will win.

I stand for reclaiming the freedoms of those who are wrongly silenced. I stand for upholding true law and order, keeping our streets safe from thugs and terrorists. Most of all, I stand for you.

Thank you for listening. May God continue to bless this great country.

TV/Radio Ad: What's the Truth

I'm Roger Stone. You've seen these wild ads going back and forth about all the candidates. You may not know who to vote for, or what's even the truth!

Here's the truth: I'm the only candidate who'll scrap the IRS, slash your taxes, and protect your God-given rights to live and speak as you choose.

Special interests want to muddy the waters and keep us divided. Let's keep it simple. I approve this message because we're stronger united. That's the truth.

This ad will air in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada. On the radio, it has the most plays on local conservative talk stations. It will also be issued as an online ad, with closer targeting on Facebook and YouTube audiences who regularly follow conservative politics.

Roger Stone Debate Responses

Quote
1. Under President Biden America has witnessed a shocking border crisis, with total madness and chaos as thousands of people and unlimited drugs, fentanyl, cocaine, pours into the United States. What steps will you take to bring this crisis under control, and also, how do you approach immigration in general? Do we need controls on all immigration?

I am the law and order candidate. A serious crisis deserves serious action. We cannot tolerate this influx of drugs and their drug pushers any longer. For those who profit from poisoning and killing our people, I call on expanding the death penalty to these monsters. Securing the border requires us giving our full support to the men and women in law enforcement, across the board. That includes not only our border patrol, but our sheriffs, our frontline officers, and our police departments. They know their communities and how to handle them; we just have to provide them with the resources and confidence to do their jobs.

As far as immigration in general, there is of course a place for reasonable, responsible immigration. My beautiful wife Nydia, who's originally from Cuba, is a perfect encapsulation of the American Dream. We've been very fortunate in raising a beautiful family together, and so many families in immigrant communities are like ours. This will be cherished with me as President. What we cannot tolerate is a system that rewards cheaters and criminals over those who have waited their turn in line. I'd crack down on sanctuary cities, on fraudulent visas, on big business exploiting our workers. I'd keep our country safe and reinstate the travel ban on day one. And, you know what else? I'll finish building that wall.

Quote
2. Raise your hand if you support cost-controlling reforms to entitlement programs that Senate and House Republicans such as Scott Perry and Jim Jordan are supporting. (You may write one sentence)

*hand not raised* I've got much admiration for my friends Scott Perry and Jim Jordan, although what we should be cutting is from the bureaucracy, not from the people.

Quote
3. Do you support continued monetary and weapons aide to Ukraine in their fight against Putin's Russia?

Not a single penny or bullet more. Not until we get our act together.

We all have compassion for what the people of Ukraine and Russia are being subjected to by their governments. War is a nasty business, and nobody really wins when you have that much death and destruction. My responsibility as Commander-in-Chief is to first and foremost protect and defend the American people. This never-ending flow of aid to Ukraine runs the risk every day of the U.S. pulling itself into this conflict. It runs the risk of pulling all of Europe into a World War III. Putin has raised the nuclear card many times, and we should absolutely take that seriously. In the interest of global peace, America must step back and instead be the honest broker for a lasting peace deal between the two nations.

Ukraine appears to now be winning this war decisively, I'll add. The impetus for these billions of American dollars no longer exists. You know, we have over 30,000 homeless veterans living on our streets. There are over 400,000 children in foster care without a loving family. We must take care of our own people first before we can take care of others. I'll be that President.

Oh, and don't get me started on Zelenskyy's outfit on Capitol Hill.

Quote
4. What will you do to end the spread of Marxism, woke ideology, and Critical Race Theory in America's public schools?

One very good aspect of the presidency is that you have the bully pulpit at your disposal. You can bet your behind that President Stone will be calling out the Marxists, the America haters, and all the woke gobbledygook on a daily basis. We will not let the bug-eyed, blue-haired buffoons get away with pushing their curriculums in our schools.

Ultimately, though, our frontline fighters in this battle are at the local and state level. What the Executive branch can best do is empower them. My administration will work to abolish the Department of Education that's pushed much of this woke agenda. It's an idea that goes back to Reagan, and its time has finally come. I've also called for a new Constitutional Convention. After we elect some more Republican state governments, we'll have the opportunity to transform this country for the better and put in some of these lasting controls. None of my opponents have signed on to a new Convention, and I implore them to join me tonight.

Quote
5. Do you believe that free trade is a net benefit for the American economy?

There are two definitions of free trade floating out there when we talk about the issue. The first definition, the one favored by the globalist establishment, is the free trade that sells off our factories for a pretty buck and bends to the will of China at every turn. The other definition, the one favored by President Trump, is free but fair trade that looks out for American interests. I believe in the latter.

This country and its workers has been taken advantage of by the ruling class for far too long. We know of the consequences, with our rotting, vacant cities that once were vibrant. I've known President Trump for over 40 years, and I called for him to run since the '80s because he was right about countries like Japan ripping America off in trade even then. We've thankfully come a long way in changing the conversation since. I would push for peaceful commerce between our friends and allies, but with the understanding that America will never sell itself off under my watch.

Quote
To Mr. Stone: Some feel that you have been marketing a different Stone to different audiences depending on political expediency. What is the real Roger Stone? What would be your governing philosophy as President?

I'm the same Roger Stone as I've always been. In a nutshell, I'm an America First conservative with strong libertarian instincts. This has been who I am ever since I read the works of Barry Goldwater and other proud conservatives as a young lad. As President, I'd protect our borders and keep us safe from threats foreign and domestic. I'd put an end to military adventurism and focus on rebuilding our roads and industries here at home. I'd push the message of liberty far and wide, letting free enterprise and free minds do what they do best.

What you brought up, "marketing a different Stone," is total BS from bad faith sources. What is my crime, according to them? Having the nerve of talking to people who may not always agree with me. It's called building a coalition, building trust. That's what you do in a presidential campaign. We need 70+ million Americans to win in November. You think they all agree on everything?

If any of us here want to win in November, we've got to unite this party. I'm putting in the hard work to have these important dialogues, extend those olive branches, and ultimately unite us. We're not always going to agree, but you'll know I have this country's back. As your nominee, we will come out stronger than ever and rightfully whoop the Democrats back to where they came from.

Roger Stone Debate Rebuttals

On responding to Josh Hawley:

Quote
"I'd just like to add I think it's astounding how much Mr. Stone has tried to change his views to win this election. I mean, just a couple years ago he said Putin was acting defensively, he was applauding Russia and insulting our nation, but now he's running for President and he's completely changed his tone. He says he sympathizes with Ukraine. He wants us to be a neutral arbiter. And I can't say I'm shocked by that. He knows the game; he's been in politics his entire life. But now more than ever, our country needs leadership. It needs conviction. Roger can't even stand up for life, and I just have to ask, is there anything you do stand up for?"

That's right, I do know the game. I've had to deal with enough of the destructive ambition and corruption coming from you guys that I see right through you, Senator. I talk about the devastating costs of this war, and you try to get your big moment in the highlight reels while using the same lies and rhetoric they always deployed against President Trump. Sounds like a politician to me.

Bred by Stanford and Yale. Mentored by John Roberts. Every word focus group-tested. Are those your values, Iowa?

On responding to Nikki Haley:

Quote
I am the daughter of Indian immigrants, and I know that we are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws.  Immigrants who want to come into our country should come legally, not illegally.  Every immigrant who attempts to cross our northern or southern border should be checked for legal status and deported immediately if they lack the proper documentation.  However, I do not think we should place any restrictions on legal immigration.  Every person who wants to come to this country for a better life should be welcomed as long as they do it legally, just like my parents were.  The Biden Administration has no desire to fix our broken immigration system.  As President, I will work with Congress to simplify our legal immigration process so that there is less incentive for immigrants to come illegally.  I would also establish a Border Task Force to examine other possible solutions to the illegal immigration crisis.

You know what your Border Task Force would recommend, Governor Haley? Not your plan.

On attacking Ron DeSantis:

You dodged your record in the last debate, Ron. Let's see if you'll be straight with the American people tonight.

Back in Florida, you appointed for Broward County Sherriff, my home county, one Gregory Tony. Sherriff Tony has been caught lying under oath multiple times. He's admitted to drug use. He murdered a man! Shot his neighbor six times, two in the front of the head and two in the back. Talk about an upstanding citizen.

Why did you hire a drug-using murderer for sheriff of Florida's largest county? More importantly, why haven't you fired him yet when you removed the last guy?

It's really a shame that Roger Stone has desperately resorted to the same untrue attacks that the liberal media pushed against me. The truth is that I was not aware of the shooting when I hired Sheriff Tony, and the incident was a case of self-defense. The man in question had a gun and threatened to shoot Sheriff Tony and his brother. Sheriff Tony acted in self-defense to save his own life and that of his brother. It's really a shame that Mr. Stone claims to stand for the Second Amendment, but does not seem to believe in the concept of self-defense. This is becoming a pattern with him, between the clips trashing Ivanka Trump, the refusal to campaign with Trump, his long record of working with George Bush, and now the fact that he seems to not believe in the Second Amendment. I am actually glad you brought this story up, because it shows the importance of the Second Amendment and your lack of commitment to it. Also I did not fire him, because I felt it was up to the voters of Broward County to decide, and whatever decision they would make, I would respect it.

Now the man is just making up stuff about me. This is why I dub you Ron DeSnaketis.

Nearly 90% of his fellow sheriffs voted no confidence in this man and begged the Governor to remove him. Clearly the Governor does not stand with local law enforcement.
