stupid and immature shock value gags and OMG CELEBRITY REFERENCE SO FUNNY.

You do realize Family Guys is using exactly the same approach, don't you?

Aw man, Kal, now you ruined his day.

Easily my favorite TV show of all time. I own every season on DVD and usually marathon when drunk/tired. It probably helps that I discovered this show in college, so I didn't grow up with it like many did and so I've taken a bigger-picture view of its quality season over season. I definitely think it really hit its stride in the 2001-2005 stretch, or at least that's my favorite portion.

"South Park" is the basis of at least twenty to thirty inside jokes between me and my wife, who I've indoctrinated into liking the show. I often say in Butters' voice "Do you know what I'm saying?" Any time something is referred to as small I almost automatically announce "So small!" while holding my fingers close together like the Japanese businessman in the Pokemon episode describing his small penis. There are too many other personal favorites to count.

Put bluntly, the show is hilarious even if it's declined somewhat in recent years (last season was a welcome return to form) and it is one of my obsessions. Freedom Show.

(Also, Family Guy and its spinoffs are repellently unfunny outside of a handful of gags. The son in FG getting sucked into an Aha video remains one of the rare times that show has made me laugh).

I honestly can never understand the people who are outright rejecting books/films/tv series just because those don't fit, even in the slightest, their political views. For example, there's a lot of thing I couldn't possibly agree with G. K. Chesterton, but I do enjoy his writing.

This is just immature and stupid.

Haha, I do the "Do you know what I am saying" with my family as well, lol. That's a classic.

I've always used in negotiations, "You're breaking my balls, I said you're breaking my balls." Of course, in the Butters voice.

But I've used so many lines from the show in real life. And don't forget the time it helped to define laws about parodies!

Only ever watched one episode. Better than Family Guy, but then again, so are American Dad, The Simpsons (vintage and modern), Futurama, The Cleveland Show, Bob's Burgers, every animated sitcom.

Awful, all comedy should be liberal.

[/sarcasm]

South Park is one of my favorite shows. Definite FS.

The thing that's so disgusting about it is that it has NO redeeming value whatsoever. It's just total filth in every way and such a morally corrupting influence on my generation and the next.

Dude. You are sexually turned on by the most important spiritual occasion in a young Christian woman's life. You're worried about South Park corrupting the youth??
