Actually, Thatcher is one of my all time favorite historical leaders. Sure, Thatcherism (and capitalism in general) has its excesses, but the libertarian in me still vastly favors capitalism as superior to socialism. While I believe the basic sustainers of human life (healthcare, food, water, education, etc) should be available to all, I don't believe in the distribution of personal wealth that is legitimately gained.

I was a hardcore Ayn Rand fan in 2012-2013, and I continue to insist that Ayn Rand's We the Living is the most influential book I've ever read.

Interesting. I just find that the average Thatcherite people in the US are people you dislike. People like Paul Ryan for instance, people who focus on cutting safety nets to the bone and privatizations, like Thatcher. And like Thatcher, usually are neo-conservatives on foreign policy.
