Seems like tonight will be a good night for Bernie.

Well, duh!
If he can't win convincingly caucuses in some of the whitest and most rural states in the nation then...

Uh... people actually voted today in Kansas, right?

Or so they wanted us to believe.

It seems like Louisiana will finish counting before Kansas and Nebraska.

DD HQ says that Sanders has been announced the winner in KS.

How exciting! That was an election for the ages.

What the hell is that?
Instead of results we now have the state party chairs just announcing the winners?

Arthur County, Nebraska (population 460, one of the least populated counties in the USA) had 3 voters in the Democratic Caucus in 2008. Obama won 2 votes to Hillary's 1.

This time there were 4 voters: Sanders 3 to Hillary's 1. Is there some sort of fracking boom in the area to account for the increase in turnout?

I wonder if Hillary's voter was the same person.

There was another county won by Clinton where 1 person voted.

I'm guessing Blaine County? It's about as small as Arthur.

Nope, Thomas county.
Blaine county actually had 9 voters.

Sanders won Kansas 68-32, that's quite a thrashing.

Amazingly it's a 10 point improvement for Cinton compared to 2008.

According to Berniebot logic if Sanders wins Rhode Island and Delaware while Clinton carries California that means a great night for Bernie.

Kansas was an unexpected blow out. He never once led in a poll there, and won by 35 points.

Oh you mean that one single poll that had Clinton 33-23 with 44% undecided?  Yeah, this was definitely a massive upset.  Roll Eyes  Who could have possibly seen this coming?

Why do you even bother Joe?
He'll call you a hillary shill and that'll the end of it.

Clinton will be giving her acceptance speech at Philadelphia and jfern will say that it's a good night for Bernie.

How did Sanders do so much better in Kansas than in Nebraska? I figured it would have been the other way around if there was any significant difference at all between the two.

Obama did much better in KS than in NE too in 08. As for why, I have no idea.

Yeah, but wasn't it one of Obama's many "home states"?

I think Sebelius' endorsement had more to do with it.

Sanders is running out of states where he needs to run up the margins to eventually catch up.  Tell me, where exactly is his path to the nomination from here?  Huh

He will win California and Arizona. Didn't he win Hispanics in Nevada after all? (jfern mode)

Even if it ends 58-42 for Sanders it's a YUUUUGE improvement for Clinton compared to her 68-32 drubbing eight years ago. Both Nate Cohn and Harry Enten said it was a bad night for Sanders because he needed much bigger margins in two such friendly states and that he has fallen further behind when it comes to delegate math.

Let's just hope that when Clinton becomes head of the party she pushes for the abolishment of caucuses. Today was just another example of how ridiculous and undemocratic this system is.
