I wouldn't call it a collapse as much as this state just being very stubborn for Democrats at the presidential level, though most North Carolina polls still maintain large amounts of undecideds, so it's still in tossup territory and probably more competitive in 2020 than it turned out to be in 2016.

However, even as Biden isn't leading here as consistently, Cooper and Cunningham still are. That's the weird thing about the polling in the Tarheel state.

Of course, as much as I would love for Biden to win here, and to win by as much as possible in general, the Senate race is the most important of the three major races here this year, and it's good that it looks as promising as it is.

Things might have tightened, but I believe Biden can still win NC

He hasn’t. One or two outlier polls from shaky pollsters don’t mean a thing. Biden isn’t up 2 in Texas and Georgia yet losing by 2 in North Carolina. Take every individual poll with a grain of salt, especially those from less known or less highly regarded pollsters, or partisan pollsters. Biden still leads in NC averages.

Isn't this the time before the convention when the reputable pollsters take a bit of a reprieve while we get a string of sh*t pollsters?

I'm gonna wait a week after the RNC before making judgement, cause this feels a little premature ala Minnesota

Atlas tends to spin every poll as somehow bad for Biden. Biden gains 4-5 points? "Biden's in trouble, he's under-performing." Biden loses a point when averaging a series of not so great pollsters? "Biden's in trouble, he's collapsing"

Yep.

Math and logic clearly are not this forum’s strong suits.

And yet STILL it is far better when it comes to analyzing polls than most other internet forums, which says less about Atlas than it is incredibly damning to the rest of the internet.
