Pacific is obviously the best, Great Lakes is obviously the worst.

No doubt the Pacific is beautiful, but I prefer the Great Lakes. They're the poor man's coast.

If that's toast, then the Pacific's a lava cake, and the Atlantic's freaking creme brulee.
And yet, most people prefer toast as an everyday food.

I voted Great Lakes.  For a few weeks in late September and early October, the north shore of Lake Superior is one of the most beautiful places on earth.  Usually gorgeous weather and the vast sugar maple forests turn various hues of red and orange.



Nice pics...and touche.


Just went skiing Saturday, and on the lift you had the view of the Mississippi River.  Sitting in Illinois, looking at Iowa.  Makes you realize there are absolutely beautiful views in every state!

Not comparing to any coasts, I'm just saying you can find beautiful views like this in li'l ole Downstate Illinois:
