Senator Parsons has also released TV ads in Michigan on the economy and thanks voters in New Hampshire for giving him a second place finish despite a late entry into the campaign.

Question for Democratic candidates:

Will your name be on the ballot in Michigan and/or Florida? Remember, they have been stripped of all delegates. A non-answer is considered a yes.

Yes.

Abortion: Keep abortion as it is presently. Safe, legal, and rare. Keep partial-birth abortion legal.

Balanced Budget: We need to curb spending in order to balance the budget. Respect taxpayers' dollars.

Buisness Tax: Reduce taxes for small businesses.

Education: Support our public school system by increasing funding. Extra focus on post-secondary studies.

Energy: Invest in clean energy and end oil company subsidies. Oppose any ethanol requirements for fuel.

Environment: The environment and global warming is a major concern. Increase environmental regulations and try to meet set goals for CO2 reduction.

Gun Control: Ban assault rifles, require background checks but no gun registration.

Health Care: Require health insurance for every child and senior citizen.

Homeland Security: Homeland security is a top priority. Fight terrorism.

Immigration: Continue fighting illegal immigration, but legalize illegals with the necessary skills, jobs, and clean past criminal record.

Iran: Use economic sanctions and negotiate (not unconditionally). War as last resort.

Iraq War: Gradually and slowly reduce troop numbers through a timeline for phased withdrawal.

Personal Tax: Reduce income tax for the lower and middle class.

Same Sex Marriage: Oppose SSM, but support civil unions.

Unions: Labor demands must be balanced with business concerns.

War on Terrorism: Increase troop numbers in Afghanistan to fight Al-Qaeda there.

Leitch flies to Denver, Colorado to annouce his platform 'We hold these truths' A New Republican Revolution

Abortion: I support in the right to access to an abortion in the first trimester. I believe abortion should be an issue for the states but I understand that 'half-truth' lobbyists would seek and absolute ban on abortion and believe that we need to keep Roe v Wade at the present time.

Balanced Budget: I believe all federal spending should be capped to inflationary rises during the first 2 years of my presidency. At the same time I will launch a 'National Audit' of our incomings and outgoings and report on these by the year 2010. I want a transparent government. We will then budget according and translate savings into tax cuts for the middle class.

Business Tax: Taxation will be cut. Enterprise Zones will be established in deprived areas to encourage businesses to establish there and increase start up rates for local businesses.

Education: Expand on and improve on the state system while bringing free enterprise into state schools by encouraging the twinning of schools with businesses to provide jobs. I also support the development of trade and craft apprenticeship schemes.

Energy: Support energy independence and clean fuel. I also support tax cuts for households and farms who produce their own energy which can then be sold back into the natrional grid.

Environment: Support local recycling initiatives and clean water. Will propose a summit of western nations and the developing industrial world to cut CO2 emissions independently of Kyoto.

Gun Control: This is an issue for the states. I will veto any pro or anti legislation that passes Congress.

Health Care:  I support comprehensive coverage through insurance and will initiate cross party and lobbyist free talks on increasing coverage.

Homeland Security: The Patriot Act is un-American. It will be repealed. I will tough on terror at home and abroad.

Immigration: Will support regulated immigration. Will grant amnesty to aliens who have been residents of the US for 5 years, have clean criminal records and who have worked for at least 4 of those 5 years.

Iran: We will talk. Support a pan middle-eastern conference atended by ourselves and our allies, including Israel on the issue of Iran, terror and Palestine.

Iraq War: Will reduce troops and leave only a minimal anti-terror cell and administrative presence.

Personal Tax: Will seek abolish income tax for all those earning less than $20000 dollars a year after the National Audit to encourage people into work. Will roll back EITC's as a balance and allow the working poor to keep more of their money.

Same Sex Marriage: I support civil unions but these are state concerns. I will veto any pro or anti bill that passes Congress.

Unions: Unions are not incompatable with the American way. I support the right of workers to form and join unions but oppose any militaristic industrial action or bullying and co-ercion of union memebership by the top brass.

War on Terrorism: Turn our attention to Afghanistan. Will seek to fragment and smash the Al Qaeda alliance and address imbalance in the Middle East through democratic means and humanitarian aid.
