I think my favorite thing about him is that he acts as a foil to the more dominant hung-ho, braggadocio attitude that’s infected the Republican Party lately. For the past decade, Democrats have become instinctively pessimistic and self-defeating at times due to the scores of election losses they suffered under the Obama midterms and then the trauma of Trump. MT Treasurer reflects that despair, but does it as a Republican because he thinks his party should be doing even better than it has been. He gives the Democratic Party far more credit than many of its own members do.

It’s very touching watching a Republican constantly short changing his own party and being bearish on its prospects in the Trump era, when many of his copartisans seem more content to take cues from the top and unabashedly swagger about with unchecked pride.

What is MT conservative on? I've always thought of him like Badger.

3. No, but if you bothered to read instead of engaging in petty owns you could see that someone above complimented him for being a conservative Republican who has defeatist electoral views of his own party. I then asked what he was conservative on.
