Stassen ran in 1976? I didn't know he was still alive then.

He ran until 1992 and died in 2001.

Elliot Richardson (R)

For the sake of this poll, I've voted for Elliot Richardson. However, considering that Richardson never ran for the 1976 Republican Nomination, (even though one delegate at the Convention in Kansas City casted their ballot for Richardson), in the 1976 Republican Primaries I would have voted for incumbent President Gerald Ford.

Thanks. He was only ever relevant in 1948, which was the last time Oregon mattered in national electoral politics. Sad

Tough call but I'd go with Reagan.

Ford. I would've voted for him over Carter.

Gerald Ford, definitely.

I also would have voted for him in the general.

Tough call between Ford and Stassen, but I went with Stassen because he lived in Philly at one time.

We need 1 more person to vote; if it isn't done by 10 PM, I'll flip a coin.

I voted Reagan to break any sort of tie that existed.  Anyway, I may have liked Buckley better but Reagan was the way to go
