JBE probably worked the best with an opposing legislature to get as much of his agenda passed as possible.

Probably Abbott in Texas - Texas is probably the single most successful and stably growing state right now, and they’ve had relatively few far-right crazies sponsoring insane bills that become (unconstitutional) law there. It seems like he’s managed to help spur sustainable growth and curtail the far right in his state and party, so good for him.

Thats more due to the house speaker not Abbot.
