Is there something I don't know about Picciotto from listing to two minutes of his music?
He is essentially the father of emo. His first band Rites of Spring was the first band ever labeled emo (well "emocore" back then) and established all the traits of emo we have today (real emo of course, nothing to do with stupid haircuts, guys wearing eyeliner or androgynous looks.)
He's also a rather unique but very much copied lyricist, which led to Gully expressing belief that his lyrics were real and/or serious after seeing some (I think it was it was
this one that did it, which proves he just missed the point.)
