The only we can do is to pray for lower turnout/cut the margins in Fake Virginia, that's the only way we can win statewide here.

This guy is wildly out of touch with the Virginia general electorate.  He's not diverse.  He does not have an appealing background.  He seems unlikable.  This race is Safe D.
Maybe up in Fake Virginia he is... but in the rest of the state, his policies are more in line with public & more helpful and attractive.

Well, but so called "Fake Virginia" makes up a larger share of the population. And that's how elections are won.

Republicans like SirWoodbury don't actually believe in democracy.
Then why do you guys always vote in people that want to subjugate the rest of the state, why do you always have to impose crap that nobody outside of your places want, and always infringe on other people's rights. If you came to Virginia to work that's fine, but why do you guys always have to look down on the state's natives and force your views upon them?

Hillariously enough, the reason why the Byrd statue was removed is because some doofus GOP rep was like "how would you like it if we tried to cancel a Democrat" and the Democratic caucus was like yeah, okay, let's get rid of this racist's statue.
That is because they were put on the spot and as a result had to do damage control.

I have no idea how Northam's K-12 Mask Mandate will impact the election. Will energize the GOP base but I have my doubts the Biden voters in Virginia would respond that badly to requiring masks for a population largely ineligible for vaccination.

The majority of people agree with the school mask mandates. I think that's what a lot of people are missing, despite the few kooks that are coming to school board meetings.
Wtf no they don't?? Both young people and parents are sick of the mask BS. THere is no need for them anyway because of the vaccine.

If McAuliffe wins it will be a result of having a proven track record as governor already and the state's further increasing liberal bent.

If Youngkin wins it will be a result of a depressed Democratic turnout in DC area and a very strong Republican turnout in places like Chesterfield and Virginia Beach. Also, it will have also been a result of Youngkin doing better than expected in the debates and being able to tie McAuliffe to Biden somehow.
Attacking a president who's not underwater isn't going to help very much. Also, GE debates change nobody's mind.

Military issues would definitely be more effective as a national issue than a state one, even in vet-heavy Virginia.
Biden's approvals are already in the toilet.

The HS story in Loudoun is already picking up steam. The Washington Post posted an article about it. If Democrats were to fall flat in November, their mishandling of schools would be the primary factor for that.

So, question for those of you who are arguing mcauliffe's "parents and education" statement wasn't problematic....why is mcauliffe spending time and resources producing an ad saying it was "taken out of context"?

They know it didn't play well. It probably won't matter, but it didn't help either.

Also....lmfao at a poster above trying to tie youngkin to trump's heartless powell statement.

When you have literally nothing else to run on, you make it all trump trump trump.

the people of va deserve a better campaign.

Well, after Youngkin clapped Terrance in the debates, it was only a matter of time they would go back to muh Trump.. it's because they know they don't have anything good to offer.

So I just got off from phonebanking for McAuliffe, and most of the people I contacted were Youngkin supporters. Probably doesn't mean much in terms of who's going to win, but it does worry me. One of them even cussed me out.
Hahaha.. maybe they don't want to listen to some guy from MA telling them what's in their best interests.

Anyways, in other news:

Yeah. I am wondering who these blue avatars, Non Swing Voter & Co keep ranting about, are. Are they just strawmen?
They are in his head. Literally every blue avatar who is posting here (including me) believe McAuliffe is winning.

"accuse"..  When the proof becomes beyond reasonable doubt they better show some discipline, with full written statements condemning them.

Shocked? More like electrocuted.

Nothing pleases me more than to see a washed up Clintonite DNC sleaze get the proper mopping he deserves.

Question for Republicans:

If Youngkin wins, why didn’t Democrats steal this election?
Because they didn't realize he sucked so much that it was needed.

The worst thing is that Biden doesn't realize what's going on right about now.

Remember the just a few hours ago McAuliffe was secure because of 'muh turnout'?
