yes.  he does not support common sense measures like the assault weapons ban.

The assault weapons ban is not 'common sense'; even if a comprehensive gun ban is 'common sense' (which it is, but you can't get away with saying that in American politics) only banning what are defined as 'assault weapons' is essentially an arbitrary mess.
