ok.  Hopefully no one submits builds before I convince them about how swell my ideas are, but that sounds more than acceptable.

I'd have to push the deadline back for everyone. Wouldn't make sense, otherwise.

Interesting, I seem to have an English army in my territory.

It will of course be removed forthwith by London.

So are we on hold for the week, and if not who should we be corresponding with instead of the players on vacation?

Yes - I've pushed back the deadline to Monday night my time, which would probably be latish on Sunday in the US. Generally speaking, only our Californian and other West Coast posters are still online at that time, so if you have them in on Sunday your time, you should be right. Lunar is expected back Sunday morning at the latest, leaving most of the day available for negotiations.

Alright, well in that case it's probably best to push the deadline back a week to make sure everyone's back and able to negotiate. Makes it a little bit less confusing as to when people need things in.

F Sevastopol Holds
A Sweden - Norway (*Dislodged*)

Italy
A Piedmont Holds
A Tunis - Tuscany
F Tyrrhenian Sea Convoys A Tunis - Tuscany

Germany

Therefore, after moves, the map appears thus:

There is a retreat required for the Russian Army in Sweden. I believe there is only one place it can retreat.

Clearly, I don't actually understand Diplomacy.
Can someone explain how the Austrian fleet took Greece?

Austria had one unit going in, supported by Serbia. You had one fleet going into Greece unsupported, so you lost. The unit in Greece cannot cut support on an attack going into Greece.

A unit cannot cut support that is directed at that unit. In this case the army Ser was used to support an attack on Gre from the fleet Alb. Therefore the attack from Gre to Ser does not cut the support.

Other options would have resulted in no change in position:

Had the Rus army Rum attacked Ser that would have cut support since Ser was not used to support against Rum. Same thing if the Bul army attacked Ser.

Had the army Bul been used to support the fleet move to Gre then that would have bounced the fleet from Alb to Gre with Ser support. The army in Gre would have remained.
