Interesting that Italy didn't at least try moving Rome to Venice just in case that master plan actually worked.

I was the only player without a blocked move, thus I am currently in the lead Smiley

More bouncing than a bouncy castle party in that turn...

And the underlying question is the diplomacy - how many were disputes, how many were accidents, and how many were arranged?

lol. There was early speculation that Mr. London/Essex was a Xahar sock, but upon further investigation, it appears he is actually a sock puppet for Happy Warrior.

Happy PM'd me and apologised. He's been caught up with some stuff outside the Forum.

Hey I'm going to Spain on Friday night for a week.  I won't be back until Saturday night/Sunday morning PST.

Thus:
1) Anyone who wants to diplomacize with me should do so by Friday afternoon, California time.
2) I'll need a stand-in or a slight delay...

Hey, congratulations! That sounds like fun!

If you can find someone to step in for you (Mikado, perhaps?) that's fine by me. If you need a week's break - such things have happened in the past and I'm sure no one would have a problem with it.

I don't think I'd need a whole week off without a stand-in.  Just until like Monday or Tuesday or something.

If you're able to do some negotiations in that time, I'm happy to push it back by a couple of days.

Whatever everyone else wants.  I mean, I'd be more that happy to let someone else manage it too, just to make sure everyone doesn't scheme against me Smiley  I'll have to go on a mad diplomacy hustle when I get back though haha.

I don't necessarily want to have a precedent of delays and stuff, I haven't been part of one of these games from the beginning, so I don't know the standard operating procedure.

Precedent? Erc was in a similar spot at a similar stage in the game.

So from reading this - you'll be leaving after submitting Spring 1902 orders, and returning and needing a day or two to observe the conclusion of Spring and negotiate and submit Autumn 1902, probably an additional day to handle retreats and builds. If you are back Saturday night, it would be evening Sunday for me and possibly earlier than some other times I've adjudicated. If I push it back an extra day from there and adjudicate Monday evening when I get home from work, that will give you all day Sunday (your time) to handle negotiations and submit orders. Things might be still a little tight, but that would hopefully do it, I can play it a little by ear if necessary. Then Tuesday for builds/retreats (my time) leaving still about four or five days for Spring 1903.

How's that sound?

ok.  Hopefully no one submits builds before I convince them about how swell my ideas are, but that sounds more than acceptable.
