HI (D).

Open borders AND free trade are both invitations by the state for private interests to exploit their citizens to the lowest common denominator. To open up trade and free movment between countries to areas with lower wages and fewer regulations is to initiate a race to the bottom with both wages and regulations.

Note that permanent immigration is fine from areas with lower wages; within a nation those new citizens can organize and demand wages and protections commensurate with their new countryfolk. So I'm in favor of closed borders with very lenient immigration policies.
