La Premier Ministre Announces the Mediterranean Games
(Source: Wikimedia)
L’action Francaise - While the International Olympic Committee has seen fit to cancel the Olympic Games, that does not mean that sporting events can no longer be symbols of international brotherhood and friendship. In partnership with our friends in Rome, France and the Kingdom of Italy have agreed to host the Mediterranean Games set in November of 1942. With Marseilles and Rome as host cities, this event shall highlight the strength of Mediterranean and Catholic civilization.

Reports from the Quai d'Orsay indicate that the following nations have agreed to attend the events:

France
The Kingdom of Italy
The Kingdom of Spain
The Kingdom of Hungary
Republic of Turkey
Kingdom of Romania
Republic of Portugal
Kingdom of Greece
Tsardom of Bulgaria

These games shall surely be a magnificent display of athletic prowess and bind together those Latin and Mediterranean nations of Europe.

THE DAWN OF THE LATIN PACT

The PACT of THE LATIN NATIONS

We assembled, the governments of France and the Kingdom of Italy do resolve to bind our nations together in the face of chaos and violence on a global scale. The Italian and French peoples are already bound together by a shared Latin and Romance culture and heritage, and since the rebirth of the French State, deep and comprehensive shared values in political outlook. Italy and France also recognized how events have played out in Europe in such a manner that illustrates the similarity of French and Italian strategic interests in the face of Bolshevik terror and foreign domination, as well as in keeping vital routes of trade open. Italy and France cannot depend on others to keep them secure, only each other. This Latin Pact hereby formalizes the deep and comprehensive diplomatic, economic, and security relationship between Italy and France.

France and Italy agree to defend each other by force of arms in the case of attack

France and Italy agree to coordinate on matters of security and defense

France and Italy agree to coordinate and cooperate for matters of mutual economic benefit, and provide preference for one another in trade and international commerce, and coordinate on projects especially in such a manner that maximizes strategic flexibility and independence

France and Italy agree to undertake all efforts to the reopening of Mediterranean commerce

France and Italy agree to cooperate in areas of suppressing internal subversives and malcontents

France and Italy agree for joint military planning and cooperation in peacetime

La France Immortelle
Maurras Addresses the Cabinet and the Nation

Wikimedia

Gentlemen, Frenchmen, it has been two years since the National Revival began. Two years since the end of French involvement in this Second World War. It has been two years since the enemy departed from French soil. It has been two years since the gas stopped falling on good French soil. It is now time to take stock of our situation.

France, despite falling under the withering hail of attacks, be they Japanese, German, or even French, has persevered. She remains a great power. She remains a bulwark of European civilization. We, along with our allies in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Italy, have blunted the Soviet rampage to the Mediterranean. We have continued her civilizing mission across three continents. French diplomats remain, as ever, at the center of the global concert.

At home, our triumphs are also great. We have quashed the red menace at home - those devious fiends who would plunge France into civil war and back into conflict with her neighbors. We have restored stability and prosperity to France. We have rebuilt Northern France, and allowed France to resume its natural place as a leading economy of Europe. Even now we are ready and prepared to become the breadbasket for a withered and tottering Europe.

Our victories have been great - but challenges remain. At home and across the Channel, there are those Frenchman who want to undo our work, and throw a new generation of young men into the grinder of civil or foreign war. These men are carrion, working in the thrall of foreign governments. Tell me, how many more men need to die to quench the altar of these men’s hubris? France has sacrificed. For herself, for Europe, for the world, and now it is time to rebuild. Do not be fooled by the seductive messages of those safely ensconced in foreign capitals - they would have you sacrifice you and your sons for their own pride!

Gentlemen, Frenchmen, now is not the time to change course. The National Revival must continue. Socialism still beats at the gates in Iberia, in the Balkans, and elsewhere. Trust in yourselves - trust in your government - trust in France, and we shall navigate the storm.

The Eldest Daughter of the Church Opens Her Doors

Maurras Announces Acceptance of Walloon Refugees

Source: Wikimedia

Who could look across the border at the former Kingdom of Belgium and not feel their heart sting? The Belgian people, and particularly the Walloons, have suffered immensely these past four years. Years of occupation, brutal chemical warfare, and chronic shortages have all dealt a terrible toll to the Belgian people.

The Walloons are a French speaking people. They are Catholic. Should we not open our doors to them? France is the Eldest Daughter of the Church - she should not and will not close her doors to those most in need.

As such, today I am prepared to announce that any Walloon who enters France fleeing from the oppressive violence of war and invasion shall be welcomed in open arms. In Northern France and in North Africa the Walloons can find a new life amongst welcoming people and safe from war, hunger, and deprivation. France stands ready to resettle the Walloons in her own country, to provide them jobs, and to allow them to rebuild their lives.

France will not turn her back on her neighbors in their time of need and she stands ready to relieve their suffering.

L'humiliation Nationale est Finie

Premier Maurras Addresses the Nation on the Treaty of Geneva

Source: Marxists.org

Countrymen!

The national humiliation is finished. Faced with the maelstrom of war, we have persevered. Faced with attacks on our Empire across the globe, many predicted our demise, but France is now stronger than ever. From Gabon to Tunisia and from the Ivory Coast to Pondicherry her soldiers stand guard, defending civilization and French values. Now, with Wallonia liberated - nearly all the French speakers in Europe and the world are under the protection of France. Already, our aid battalions are streaming into Wallonia to bring aid and succor to that beleaguered people.

This treaty, coupled with the signing of the Latin Pact, has completed that process begun two years ago - reintegrating France into the ranks of the European and Global Powers. This pact ushers in a new European order. No longer will the Western Powers, those beacons of civilization and Christianity, squabble and send their sons to die in the maelstrom of war.

Today Prime Minister Churchill and Chancellor Hugenberg choose peace over continued war and for that they should be commended. It is a fair peace, a moderate peace. There will be those citizens of all the signatories who wish for the continuation of war; for the continuation of bloodshed - but it is not their sons who are shedding blood. It is not their families which are withering under the barrage of artillery. Pay those warmongers no mind. Today is a day for peace.

Yet we cannot allow this treaty to lull us into a sense of complacency. There are still crises at home and abroad. Our neighbors in Spain remain beset by the Socialist tide and domestic rebellion. In Eastern Europe the Poles and Hungarians remain engaged in a fight for their very survival. France remains a committed defender of European civilization and a solid compatriot of all those in the fight against the Bolshevik menace.

Finally, there is the matter of Indochina. The loss of that colony stings - there is no denying it. Yet by these terms we have preserved a favored position in Southeast Asia and have protected our bases throughout the rest of Asia. France remains a power on six continents.

Today is a day to celebrate and to remember. To remember the losses of 1938-40, to remember the pain which is being suffered across Europe, and to celebrate the newfound peace. Join me France in welcoming in the new European order.

THE LATIN PACT EXPANDS

The PACT of THE LATIN NATIONS

We assembled, the governments of France and the Kingdom of Italy welcome with open arms to the Latin Pact our brother nation of Portugal. Portugal shares its common heritage with the French and Italian nations, and shares in its outlook the defeat of Bolshevism and the protection of Christian civilization. The ascension of Portugal to the agreement merely formalizes the already deep ties between Paris, Rome and Lisbon. On Portugal's suggestion the security guarantees encompassed in this pact now include all territories, in Europe and elsewhere, possessed by each signatory, and as such the Latin nations shall united around the world.

France, Italy, and Portugal agree to defend each other by force of arms in the case of attack

France, Italy, and Portugal agree to coordinate on matters of security and defense

France, Italy, and Portugal agree to coordinate and cooperate for matters of mutual economic benefit, and provide preference for one another in trade and international commerce, and coordinate on projects especially in such a manner that maximizes strategic flexibility and independence

France, Italy, and Portugal agree to undertake all efforts to the reopening of Mediterranean commerce

France, Italy, and Portugal agree to cooperate in areas of suppressing internal subversives and malcontents

France, Italy, and Portugal agree for joint military planning and cooperation in peacetime

France, Italy, and Portugal agree to undertake all efforts to protect and preserve the colonial possessions of Latin Pact members.

Pas Un Pas En Arrière
La Premier Speaks on the Syrian Crisis

Source: Reddit
Quote
Not a step backwards - those were the words which echoed through the nation early this year and I take them up today. Not a step backwards in the face of the Soviet tide. The Soviet treaty with Syria and all of its implications can only be understood as an effort to anchor their influence on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. I repeat today - not a step backward from the Mediterranean Sea - our sea. Our Latin Sea. We will not let it be turned Red.

I take today to lay out our policy on Syria. This is not a colonial policy. France does not intend to reestablish a mandate or protectorate in Syria, to engage in annexations or conquests - we only intend to preserve Syrian independence and Syrian sovereignty in the face of Soviet threats. The souls of all men and women in Syria, all godly men and women, Christian and Muslim alike, are now under threat by the creeping threat of Soviet control and its pernicious atheism and godlessness. This threat cannot be allowed to persevere.

France first requested, and now France demands, that Syria abrogate her treaty with the Soviets and renew the Venoit Accords or France will be forced to undertake all efforts to protect both the Syrian people and her own interests in the region. I call on the Damascus government to see reason and depart from their disastrous course.
