Biden has been doing terrible, he's not the guy. The sooner the Democrats realize this the better. He's not Obama and Obama can not bequeath him the Obama coalition. He will turn off young voters to not care and stay home because he's not offering anything new. I can beat Donald Trump is not enough we already saw this in 2016.

Biden is a born number 2. He was good for Vice President because he's a behind the scenes guy who likes to make deals and is well-liked but under the spotlight he's not Presidential material. He's floundered before in this spotlight, these recent events are not surprising to anybody who's been paying attention.

Biden would be better than Trump of course but Trump is teflon with his moronic base because they don't care about his actual words, results, ignorance, or chaotic governance. Trump hit some deep sentiment in these people and they're all in. Biden's gaffes minor or major put him on defense and make him look out of touch and the Democratic base expects more right now and not just "good enough to beat Trump".

Joe Biden needs to sit down, he's has looked out of it since he announced.

Warren and even Sanders are still sharp as tacks. Biden is going to mess up everything.

Biden looks out of it and is showing signs of aging. He's always been gaffe prone but he just looks lost since he announced and started campaigning.

Both Warren and Sanders are still very sharp. Biden needs to go be with his family because he can easily blow it for Democrats.

The Biden campaign sucks, you can't get people to pity vote or safety vote for you. Democrats aren't going to win without energizing the base and infrequent voters and I see no signs of energy with the awful campaign Biden has run so far.

Obama can not carry him across the finish line, just like he didn't carry HRC over. And much of the Democratic party wants more progressive and less compromising policy goals than what Obama achieved and what Biden will pursue.

He might blow it for us if he's the nominee and we can't afford to blow it. His gaffes and mental lapses are not excusable when we have other candidates who are so sharp and are with the heart of the Democratic base. We need to start worrying about the base before we demoralize them forever. When you lose fighting for what you believe in you keep fighting, when you lose with a compromise that you were never passionate about, you tune out.

He might blow it for us if he's the nominee ...

Did you ever think that maybe many of us are concerned that other Dem candidates "might blow it for us" if they are the nominee.

... We need to start worrying about the base before we demoralize them forever.

Ummmm ... according to the polls, "the base" is currently OK and supportive of Biden.

But those other candidates are not constantly embarrassing themselves and stepping all over their own message of supposed stability and electoral strength.

Biden has high name ID but among the grassroots and people who are signaling where the Democratic party will be in the future, he is doing terrible.

Biden has run a bad campaign and his inevitability is an illusion. He won't inspire the people Democrats really need to win and the idea he's going to win over some moderates is a mistake.

I hope he doesn't win. He doesn't represent the future of The Democratic Party.

Trump has some kind of blanket immunity with his dumb base, even some liberals bend over backwards to excuse all his faults. Biden just looks out of it. He's run an awful campaign where he's not just gaffe prone, he looks ancient and befuddled at many times.
