The Citizens Redistricting Commission has a draft plan that was presented at their meeting on September 9 (https://redistricting.maryland.gov/Pages/illustrative.aspx)

Here is the map:


Districts 7 and 8 are strong Republican, having voted for Trump by over 20 points each in 2016. The other districts are Safe Democrat. Four districts are minority-majority.

DRA now has 2020 data for Maryland. Here is how the proposed MD map would perform under 2020 numbers:



MD-01: Biden +75.0
MD-02: Biden +51.8
MD-03: Biden +58.5
MD-04: Biden +54.4
MD-05: Biden +31.6
MD-06: Biden +31.1
MD-07: Trump +7.7
MD-08: Trump +14

Maryland House votes down amendment that would replace the state's redistricting proposal with the fairer map crafted by Gov. Hogan's panel. The 8-1 gerrymander is, for all intents and purposes, the final map.
