I don't think it will do much of either. Kerry is irrelevant.

^^^^^^^^

Maybe a little to donor lists, but who knows.

Donor lists will surely help. What's laughable is Kerry's claim that his endorsement will help in SC. We all remember how well JFK did in the Palmetto State in 2004...

I'm kind of confused why they didn't have him endorse before NH. He won the primary there in a landslide in '04 and actually carried it in the general election (unlike Gore).

In a two point race, he likely would have made a difference.

It certainly can't hurt. I don't expect it to help much, either; endorsements generally don't.

If you hadn't inserted the caveat word "generally," I would've mentioned David Duke.

I selected No, but it somehow put me down for Yes.

This is still the Democratic Primary.  And some Democrats, like me, still LOVE John Kerry.  His endorsement puts me a notch closer to Obama.

Like many of you have stated before, Kerry's endorsement gives Obama organizational opportunities and a huge list of possible donors.  This will definitely help him more than hurt him, especially if it manages to swing Democrats in Nevada and South Carolina.

It reinforces my support for Obama, but my mom DESPISES Kerry. She is registered republican but she called me the other day and we talked about the election, and she so far has been supporting Obama.

We already talked about it, she doesnt care either way. She honestly thought he'd endorse Edwards, which I knew wasnt going to happen.

It may hurt him. Kerry didn't exactly run the best campaign and lost an election that  many felt would be an easy win for the Democrats. An sitting president with an approval rating hovering around 50%, a war going on, and he still lost by 2% in the popular vote. It will not help Obama much, and Kerry hardly represents a change agent.

Gore's endorsement didn't help Dean at all.

The idea that Kerry's endorsement could possibly hurt Obama is ludicrous. At worst it will have no effect.

Great, we get the stroke guy.

Awesome, another strong Democratic voice in a string of good happenings. We've gotten all we could to bounce back from NH

Now add to the list..former Colorado Democratic Senator Gary Hart...and maybe Clyburn.

Is there a complete list of candidate endorsers, before and after NH?  I agree that it is mostly meaningless in terms of moving voters.  But I think it gives us some sense of what kind of help the candidate will get on the ground, in certain states and possibly in terms of money.
