That being said, Napoleon didn't execute/imprison his political opponents, unlike Robespierre, the Directory, Austria, the British, and Russia.

I still have to say, calling Napoleon evil is hyperbolic - he supported liberty, property rights, and equality. He allowed even his inner circle to strongly and bluntly criticize him, something no other European monarch did(that I know of) either before or since, and he greatly helped farmers, teachers, soldiers, and small business owners/workers, such as orchard owners. He didn't allow for legal corruption or corrupt clergy.
