The Republicans in Congress also suffer as they are really unable to offer an alternative to the War in Somalia and still please their pro-military base.  Therefore, Ralph Nader runs as an anti-War candidate.  Ross Perot also runs.

Dole/Kemp 38% 263 EV
Clinton/Gore 38% 257 EV
Nader/LaDuke 20% 15 EV
Perot/Choate 4% 0 EV

Perot acts as a spoiler in this race, costing Clinton the West Coast, but nearly wins CA, OR, WA, NY, RI, HI and ME.

The election is thrown to the House which elects Dole.

Buchanan/Weld-50%-285 Electoral Votes

No way that Weld ever agrees to be a ticket with Buchanan.

Your scenario also forces Buchanan to run as the "peace candidate"-highly unlikely for a conservative Republican.
