Abrams has much more favorable demographics here in GA than Gillum does as well as a more polarizing incumbent to rematch with but if he wins the nomination I’ll be all in for him.

Imagine if Gillum had won, Democrats would want Gillum to run for President/or be their VP as he is Black, and Progressive and is from Florida.

Why it was sooooo important to make sure Gillum, and Abrams lost in 2018 😉. Now DeSantis is the raising star and gillum/Abrams are grifters 😂.
Welcome to Atlas! Abrams is still regarded as a good GA-Gov candidate in 2022 as she did around what the polls expected, as Kemp barely avoided the runoff, and Barrow did well considering that Abrams didn't campaign for him much and African-Americans don't usually vote in runoffs, (see 2008 Georgia senate) and since more younger and minority and middle class people are moving into Georgia day by day, I think that Abrams will still have a chance even if a Democrat wins. As for Gillum, he blew the race, and do you think that Graham or Levine would have won? Also, DeSantis is a decent Governor and in my Top 5 GOP Governors.

DeSantis is doing all the right things to get re-elected.

The serious candidates will not be running.  The 2022 Democrat will be a decided underdog.  The question would be whether or not Little Marco would be vulnerable.

Gillum's star is sinking.
What Congress district or state senate seat he lives in?
The African American Trump Democrat Al Lawson's seat.

This is what I'd expect the county map to be if it was a Gillum/DeSantis rematch:
https://www.yapms.com/app/?m=crm

Gillum wouldn’t win St. Lucie or Duval, and would likely loose even Hillsborough too.
are you on crack?? no dem is gonna lose hillsborough

Check out the 2018 attorney general race results
Moody is from Plant City. Do you think DeSantis is going to send himself back in time so he can graduate from Armwood?

No, but with his sky-high approvals (he is barely underwater amongst democrats IIRC)-- if the dems run Gillum, an uninspiring Venezuela-style communist under FBI investigation, DeSantis will cruise to reelction, possibly by double digits.
Republicans routinely win Hillsborough, so its not like this is unprecedented or even mildly far-fetched. Every statewide republican except Scott in 2014, Rubio in 2016, Moody in 2018, and so on.
Gillum isn't a Communist, he is more like Harris.
