I hope Preckwinkle loses.  Not many people are paying attention but there's lot of anger toward her.  She'll probably win easy.  I will support Bob F.

No matter what happens if Joe Berrios loses it will be an ok night.

Yes.

Pritzker is still the favorite. But there's a lot of (an increasing amount of?) undecideds in the race. And it wouldn't be out of the question that they default to Kennedy in the voting booth.

My wife and parents cast their votes for Raoul. My parents voted for Kennedy, my wife through her vote away on a nobody candidate (but thats ok!).

I hope Drury pulls off the upset.  He ran a lot of ads in the last week.

I saw a ton of ads attacking him, which is why I'm a little skeptical of the polls showing him stalling in single digits. Why would Raoul or Quinn bother attacking Drury if he's really so far behind?

Family that I know of voted for Ives today (southeast). Rauner will still probably win but I think it will be very close!

I wouldn't be surprised if we get another VA, where the unexpectedly close D primary ends up as a snoozefest, but the R primary gets tight. But I could be wrong.

I know several IL Republicans all of whom voted for Ives and several Dems who split among JB, Kennedy, and Biss.

Thats good news. What about Chicago itself?

I can't find any evidence of that statistic on Chicagovotes

I think the prototype of his candidacy is out of favor right now with much of us. I think Penny Pritzker for Gov would've been way cool.

Definitely feels like Kennedy has momentum going in today. Pritzker win still win more likely than not, but let's hope for an upset!

An Ives win would be hilarious. Icing on the cake would be Harold, Rauner's AG pick, going down in that primary.

I think Raoul pulls it off with strong numbers in Chicago.

Bold prediction: Preckwinkle loses to Fioretti (don't blame me!)

Kaegi should beat Berrios, but don't rule out some trickery.

Feeling a Newman victory.

As for the Kennedy signs, I think he is doing targeted signery. Green signs in heavily-Irish hoods. It's not yellow - it is orange.

Let's rumble!

Agree re: Fioretti. I think Jesse Jackson endorsing him will help close the gap

Polls have now closed!

I'm saying Pritzker, Raoul, and Newman. I thought Rauner should have an easy time, but I'm now thinking he may be in for a nailbitter/loss.

Can't believe I'm essentially rooting for Chris Michael Scott Kennedy. I know this sounds pretentious, but Illinois is really missing something great with Biss. I dunno, maybe he'll run for IL-09 someday.
