There is such a disconnect on how Americans view U.S. combat operations overseas and what actually happens.  

The establishment is in bed with the military (and oil companies and big pharma and big business and so on and so on) so the few candidates who are against this stuff either don't get elected OR can't rally other legislators to actually change anything.

THANK ALLAH that Omar and AOC and Bernie are opening some small percentage of the public's eyes to the reality. If the public wakes up, electoral nominees will have to oppose this stuff to get votes. That may never happen, but we should be thankful for any baby steps we can achieve towards tbat goal. Thank you Ilhan. Allah hafiz.

Trump attacked Omar and then Somalian refugees overall at a Minnesota rally yesterday, prompting twitter tesponses from Omar, Klobuchar and the mayor of Minneapolis.

For roughly six minutes Thursday night, President Trump predictably singled out Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) during his campaign rally in her home district of Minneapolis. As photos of Omar wearing a headscarf flashed across jumbo screens at the Target Center in the city, Trump ramped up his broadsides against the freshman lawmaker, slamming her as an “America-hating socialist” and a “disgrace.”

When Trump talks about Omar, it is one of the rare times he tells the truth

Why is being apalled at America not reaching it's potential and expectations and demanding more called "America hating" ehen spoken by "others" (minority of race or religion or ideology), but "patriotism" for "real" Americans (white and/or Republican)?

Her 9/11 comments were an utter disgrace and she hasnt once shown that she is grateful of this nation.

Why do "others" have to publically dusplay how grateful they are to live in America, whereas for "real" Americans, it is simply implied and considered offensive to even question it?

Please stop with this "grateful to live here" BS.

It's like some Republicans are keeping lists of which immigrants are grateful and which are not, so that one day if the law changes and the President gives them permission, they can giddily storm these peoples' houses, forcibly remove them from their homes and ship them back to where they came from.
