The Republicans advocate legalization of machine guns, hard drugs, and prostitution, push for the abolition of the FCC, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal welfare in the 50 states, and campaign on dismantling the Departments of Agriculture, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Veterans Affairs. If elected, they promise to gradually abolish the income tax and replace it with a 15% tax on consumption.

The Democrat's positions include halving the military budget, socializing the medical system, re-regulating the communications and electrical industries, establishing a guaranteed minimum income for all Americans, and equalizing funding for all schools regardless of property valuations -- and he promises to fire Alan Greenspan, counsel withdrawal from the World Trade Organization, and openly calls for the repeal of the second amendment.

Who wins in 2008, and what does a map look like?

Also, does Ralph Nader still say there's no difference between the two parties?

Yes, Ralph Nader's zombie would still do that.  And he'd get even less votes than he did in 2004.

I'd probably vote Democratic -- but repealing the 2nd ammendment would give me second thoughts.  In the end it would be abortion and the death penalty that would probably make up my mind.

Edit: on second thought, Libertarian.

Ralph Nader would say there was no difference between the two parties even if Republicans adopted the British National Party platform and the Democrats openly proclaimed Marxism. He's a worthless egomanic who doesn't care one bit about how the parties actually are.

I'd still vote Democrat.

I'd hold my nose and vote Republican in a two-party race, but I'll vote Libertarian since it's an option.
