America faces the threat of war with Great Britain as President Pinckney attempts to secure re-election. While the Federalist Caucus should be a shoo-in for the first incumbent Federalist President, there's a movement to push Vice President Rufus King as an alternative to Pinckney.

As a general rule, I tend to vote for incumbent presidents in "conventions" and "primaries" unless that incumbent is completely objectionable. I certainly wouldn't agree with Pinckney on every issue, but I can find nothing that would "disqualify" him, so he gets my vote.

Also for any King supporters, please suggest VP possibilities.

I support the anti-slavery Rufus King, with Josiah Qunicy III for VP.
