Is Kamala Harris technically Trump's VP for a few minutes?

No, Pence's term ends at noon.

For anyone who was a fan of Benjamin Wittes's "baby cannon", he posted one last video at the moment Biden became President.

Any update on Harris, Padilla, Ossoff, and Warnock?

Should be sworn in at 4:30.

We are five minutes away from a trifecta.

C-SPAN2 has the Senate live.

OK that fireworks show was tight af
None of these people are celebrating the "peaceful transfer of power" or democracy, they are celebrating Orange Man gone. It's so disgusting.

We can be happy about both. They're not mutually exclusive.

Biden! Woohoo!

We have a woman Vice President and she's a Democrat! I always wondered whether it would be a Democrat or Republican first.

Really?

Ha, my exact reaction. Other than unelectable Palin, no woman has ever sniffed a Republican ticket, but I'm sure there will be one in the next two cycles. Probably Haley, possibly Noem.

Elizabeth Dole was widely talked up as a potential Presidential or VP candidate back in the day, but obviously that never went anywhere.

I woke up this morning and realized there were no longer any days to count.  I started counting down to the election at 200 days before Nov. 3.  Then I was counting down to the EC vote, Congressional certification, and the inauguration.  And now there's nothing else left to anticipate; kind of a strange but liberating feeling.
