Carter/Carter. We already took down the Republican culture of corruption, now we have a scumbag Democrat to deal with also. Bye bye Dollar Bill.

We havent taken down the republican culture of corruption yet. Expect more to lose in 08 or to resign/retire because of investigations.

He only got 30% or so in the first election. Karen Carter will now get the votes of everyone else who voted for all the other candidates.

Carter will defeat Jefferson easily in the runoff.

Do-Little, that means you...

Heck, we may not even have to wait until 2008 to see Doolittle and Jerry Lewis tossed out of Congress, texasindy. Simply further investigating the Abramoff scandal might have those two in jail before 2007 is over.

Never underestimate the power of the incumbent.  Here in SC Bauer came in second in the 2006 GOP Lt. Gov. primary only to win the runoff in a race that had been seen as revolving around whether Bauer was fit to be Lt. Gov.  Carter can still lose, though I hope not.

Voted Carter/Carter.
But I wouldn't be that surprised at Jefferson pulling through.

Will Republicans in the district vote for Jefferson in an attempt to make the Democrats look bad?

They might because he's the most conservative candidate.

John Kerry still carried LA-2 75%-25% in 2004 so it is hard to see the Republican vote having much of an impact.
