I seriously do not understand why the majority of Atlas users tolerate me, a bag of dirt who every once in a while posts either a dogsh!t take or a quip that takes the brain processing power of an almond to come up with.

Ok Peebs.
I laughed way harder at this than I probably should have (that is, I did laugh).

Realized the hard way that I'm bisexual because I have fallen completely head over heels in love with a male friend of mine.

One problem though. He's gay. So rip me.
Drama! Tell us more!
Okay, so, basically I recently reconnected with an old friend from my high school. We haven't talked in a very long time (like 4-5 years) but I ran into him again and we started talking, and it turns out we've had VERY similar experiences since graduating and we share a lot of the same interests (Pokémon, musicals, DnD, horror movies).

We talked a lot about how we're both kind of touch-starved and can't really do a lot about it due to combinations of not being able to drive and a bit of social anxiety. Also he's like, very much into the same hopeless romantic kind of scenarios that I am. I don't know why I've fallen for him so hard to be honest, I guess it's because we're both pining trans disasters, lmao. We joke about how people assumed I was a gay guy in middle/high school and how people thought he was a lesbian in middle/high school and the opposite ended up being true (until I fell for him oops!!). He's just really fun to talk to because of how relateable and easy-going he is. We went through like a five year gap without talking but it already feels like we've been friends this whole time and I get butterflies talking to him.

Being attracted to guys is so embarrassing, ugh.

First of all, welcome to the Bittalion. Second of all, you're definitely bi because "I love them BUT THEY'RE NOT A COMPATIBLE ORIENTATION" is the most bisexual experience there is.

S**t sucks.

My impression is that you have for a long time struggled with internal demons, and that is okay. That's nothing to be ashamed of, and it's nothing to deprecate yourself over. If this piece of ass forum helps you cope with that, then it's worth it.

Please share the tipping point, haha.

Must not be singing with your chest! Wink  Largely agree, though, especially because I'm pretty damn drunk in the first place if I have decided to do karaoke in the first place.

Also, one of my professors this quarter looks and talks EXACTLY like Hillary Clinton ... considering Clinton is originally from Park Ridge, I am not ruling out her being a cousin or something, lol.

Any forum stalkers have information on Hillary's extended family??

My dumbass chose psychosocial by Slipknot as one of the songs. Pretty sure that accounted for half the reason I had a headache.

My usual karaoke picks are Engelbert Humperdinck, Paul Anka, Elvis, and Gary US Bonds, lol. Or Taiwanese pop music. Or Despacito.  Tears of joy

Last 4th July me and my roommate were wasted beyond comprehension and my wife drove us to some karaoke bar in the middle of nowhere where I attempted to do Gangnam Style, that sh**t slapped but like, also I didn't know the words.

If you don’t mind me asking, but are you looking into possible treatment for it, like medication?

how do I stop being a dick to everybody? I think I have a problem.

for the past few months I seem to wildly alternate between "I'm very afraid all my friends hate me" and "f!ck everyone I hate them anyway" and so basically I feel like I'm driving everyone off with my behavior when I'm in that second mood because I act really angry, and I don't know why I'm thinking this way in the first place though, it's really stupid, like even my wife was telling me basically that I'm sort of the nexus of our entire friend group and that if it wasn't for me none of us would probably ever get together and hang out because everyone else is so introverted except for me and this one girl who basically are the catalysts for everything we do, and that I probably talk to more people than any of the rest of them in general, so I don't know why I get the feeling that everyone I meet hates me off the bat, because clearly they don't yet I feel that way anyway.

It's extremely bizarre and frustrating.

Bipolar or Borderline? Feel free not to answer of course.

I have a couple friends with bipolar and both have got help from Dr. Mary Jane, a local psychiatrist.

The latter. And yeah, that helps sometimes.

To answer PSOL's question: there's no medication for BPD specifically, but I've been on meds for other symptoms most of my life. The only approved treatment is dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), which I might give a try.

Thank you. I deliberately used the most unlikely of the many medical conditions that use that TLA to point out the ambiguous nature of your post.
