As things stand now me and my mom have an entire $65 to live off of for food for the month, because her disability paycheck was deducted over technical errors regarding her Medicare.  My mom asked our POS landlord if we could get $50 off for this month's rent and pay it back next month and he said no.  This is the same POS landlord who lent us a shed to live in that's not even up to city/state code.  Hell, my government caseworker, who's trying to "help" us get better housing (I put that in quotes because he hasn't done jack sh!t except belittle us and blame us for our situation) finds it deplorable because our landlord, like him, is black, and is treating us the same way white landlords treated black tenants before civil rights laws were passed.  His words.

But don't worry, I'm sure my white privilege will magically get us in a better housing/financial situation.

Sold my Range Rover not that sad because I got a car with a lot better fuel efficiency and given how much I have to drive to Nash/Chatt/Knox it's going to be great, but I miss it already anyway! Although I actually had a capital gain (never expect that on cars) and the extra I of course bought more stocks with.

Also my wife and I plan to go to a political event tomorrow night! In Knoxville, apparently they are opening a Mike Bloomberg field office and we both RSVP'd last night, I'm interested to see what this will be like. I'm not that politically involved, the only other really political thing I've done in my life was go to a Karl Dean speech back in 2018 but this is a Presidential thing, instead of a sacrificial lamb governor nominee so might have more energy lol.

Have I ever told y'all how much I love this forum? I mean, we have all these people come together, with radically different views, all in one place. It really shouldn't work, but it manages to. We do seem to have some sense of community here. I mean, we have everyone here, from a hardcore trumpist in FL to a commie furry in NY, to an actual (former) state rep., to a trans memelord in Iowa, and everyone in between.
