For anyone wondering, I haven't posted in a while because basic training takes away your phone.

So yeah, I joined the Army. College wasn't gonna pay for itself, so Uncle Sam will pay for it. I'm in the reserves, so I can start college next year. With my army tuition assistance plus the fafsa and the support the college itself gives me, I'll graduate debt free.

Congrats, good luck with everything!

Bought some new art supplies. Just paper and markers, but might as well do something now that I have to adjust to both full Saturday-Sunday weekends and no homework (coming from an environment of night shift + school as recently as two weeks ago).

Now that I'm done growing height wise, my dad pokes fun at me every week or two saying if you ate more vegetables and took your vitamins you would be an inch to two taller. It is true that I would hardly ever touch any vegetables after like 2 years of ages until I was like 15ish, and I was really bad at taking vitamins, like maybe one to two times a week on average, could that actually have cost me an inch or two? I'm not like upset or super unconfident or anything, like I round down my height instead of rounding it up or not rounding at all, but like I am curious.

The fact that we've reached this number in such a long amount of time is just phenomenal, I'm-I'm just amazed. Thank you all so much for supporting this account and helping it grow. 1500 is a sixth of 9000, not a fourth.

A potential family emergency may take over half of my holiday time. My grandfather (on my mom's side, we call him Pop) had a heart attack and choking episode 2 days ago. Apparently, his trach tube (he had throat cancer before I was born thanks to heavy smoking, doctors gave him only months to live back in the 80's) got clogged up with something. He managed to call 911. Seems like his health, both mental and physical, has been deteriorating quickly since then.

I don't have too much of a relationship with him since my mom has cut off a lot of her family. The majority of them are crazy. My aunt killed herself almost 4 years ago now, and my uncle has been doing meth the past couple of months, if not years. He hasn't recovered since opening a gym a few months before the recession and losing nearly everything.

Sorry, went off on a tangent there. Anyway, the last time I saw Pop was 6 years ago. We were on our way to Key West and met up with him at Punta Gorda airport. All I hear about him is how he keeps sending my mom racist sh!t like re:re:re:re:re: OBAMA IS A MUSLIM N****R or some such bs. Anyway, we may have to take a week to go down there. It'll probably be our last chance to see him. Both my parents and I really would rather not do it, but like I said, it's probably our last chance.

Someone had the bright idea of making the street I live on one-way all of a sudden, I guess because driving around the neighborhood isn't enough of a hassle.

Yep yep.

It's mostly prescribed for fibromyalgia and seizures, but it's great for generalized anxiety disorder as well.

I've been on gabapentin for a long time for insomnia and anxiety, but lately I've been wondering if at this point taking it does anything other than preventing withdrawal symptoms.

Back in Oklahoma after finishing another semester at college. This semester ended pretty poorly (getting sick for a couple of weeks before final papers will really kill your motivation, turns out) so I'm not feeling too great about my GPA at the moment. Next semester should go better though, I have an internship lined up that I'm feeling pretty good about.

Drinking a £2.50 can of water to fight the hangover from a long night of drinking last night.

I really miss BushOK and his Update threads. It's no surprise that so many left the forum when the powers that be decided to ban him and his story telling.
