The first three will vote Obama. Joe will vote most likely vote Romney, unless Romney picks a Palin-type VP, in which case he'll vote 3rd party.

This person is pretty much the Tea Party's image of a stereotypical Obama voter.

Name: Mike O'Connor
Born: June 15, 1950
Place of birth: Dallas Texas
 Place of residence: Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
Education: 4-year college graduate at University of Michigan
Occupation: Barbor
Family: Wife (65) is a homemaker, 1 child
 Household/family income: $70,000/year
Religion: Muslim but was raised as Catholic

Voting record: Richard Nixon 1972, Jimmy Carter in 1976, Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984, George HW Bush in 1988, Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996, George W Bush in 2000, John Kerry in 2004, Barack Obama in 2008. Voted Spector, Santorum, Casey, and Wofford in elections. Voted Ed Rendell, Tom Ridge and Bob Casey Jr in governor elections.

He's a convert to Islam. In view of the other information you've presented, he's not voting Republican anytime soon, though like most Muslims, he was probably a Republican before 9/11 and the War on Terrorism.

How about Roseanne and Dan Connor in 2012?

Here's where I think the Connor family would be in 2012:

Roseanne's loose meat restaurant closed down in 2004 as suburban sprawl in Lanford took away business from locally owned restaurants. Strapped for cash, their son in law Mark enlisted in the army and fought in Iraq to try to help the family, where he was killed by a roadside bomb in 2006. Their daughter Becky, who is a manager at the local Wal-Mart remarried last year.

Darlene, Roseanne's daughter, divorced her husband David and came out as a lesbian. She now has a partner and they are thinking about having a baby together. Dan left his job in 2001 at the city garage and worked in construction for a company building suburban homes in the Chicago suburbs. The company went bankrupt in 2008. The Connor's nearly lost their home in 2009 but got help from a stimulus program designed to help struggling homeowners.  Since 2010, Dan has had a decently paying job as a manager at an auto repair shop.

Dan had a heart attack last year. Luckily he survived, and the passage of the Affordable Care Act significantly lowered the amount of money they had to pay for his surgery. However, it still put them in even more debt. Since the restaurant closed, Roseanne has been working as a receptionist at a law firm, but she and her sister Jackie, still single but dating, want to open up a medical marijuana dispensary, the first in Lanford. (Roseanne Barr has actually said she can see her character and Jackie doing this)

DJ has been the savior for the family. He turned out to be a gifted writer and is a published author now.

So let's start in 1996
Roseanne: Clinton
Dan: Clinton

2000
Roseanne: Nader
Dan: Bush

2004
Roseanne: Kerry
Dan: Bush

2008
Roseanne: Obama
Dan: Obama

2012
Roseanne: Obama
Dan: Undecided. (Doesn't really like either, leaning toward Obama)

With all the family has been through in your scenario, they would almost definitely vote for Obama in 2012 unless they're fundies, which they pretty clearly aren't. Even if they are, the adage about a liberal being a conservative who got sick (the rejoinder to "a conservative is a liberal who got mugged") would likely apply here.
