Read what oakvale, shua, Yankee, and Fuzzybigfoot said about this being a 50 billion dollar bill.

But... since when you are a Senator ? Huh

Tmth's not taking his Senate seat due to the, uh, "Invaligate" thing, so A-Bob appointed him. Tongue

Uh...since getting an appointment from A-Bob? Tongue

Basically, as oakvale said, tmthforu isn't taking the seat he just got elected to, so I became a Senator instead.

Wish someone had voiced their concerns before the final vote. Admittedly, $50 billion may have been a bit extreme, but $50million would hardly do anything considering Texas alone allotted $3 billion to cancer research last year!

True that finding a cure for cancer is a project much larger than $50 million. Maybe we can consider a way to fund 5-10 Billion or so.

The (designated) SoIA is looking into the issue, and plans to have legislation to present to the Senate after the confirmation. Smiley

Counting the votes on this will certainly be challenging.

Aye (2): AHDuke99 and Antonio V
Nay (6): bgwah, Fuzzybigfoot, Napoleon, NC Yankee, Oakvale, and Officepark
Abstain (1): shua

Didn't Vote (1): Snowguy716

This has enough votes to fail, Senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

Oh, that's fine, and thank you.

Wish someone had voiced their concerns before the final vote. Admittedly, $50 billion may have been a bit extreme, but $50million would hardly do anything considering Texas alone allotted $3 billion to cancer research last year!

That's fair enough.
