Hmm... Dems and Reps voted yesterday about even in this primary. Wonder if Dems have a chance here now with how crazy Boehbert is.

Redistricting in Colorado is done by commission; there's not much chance of this seat being meaningfully altered after 2020.

Boebert's comments on QAnon amount to saying "I hope it's true" in an interview, which doesn't seem to mark her out as a believer or to even be an overly terrible or conspiratorial thing to say (compared to, say, Marjorie Greene writing extensive blog posts about the topic). I can't imagine you liking her if you're not a gun-rights person, but it really isn't like her positions on that are very far out from the American mainstream (and certainly not from the CO-3 mainstream).

CO03 will always take up all or close to all of western Colorado, that is just geography. Nothing is going to change that, even in the world where Dems can still gerrymander. The question then becomes "how.much of the west isn't in this seat." With 8 seats the entire western block is just a hair off of 1 seats worth of pop. This version is marginally more democratic, since the areas getting added blue ski towns presently in CO02. The mappers though may not end up preferring this grouping, and may keep CO02's cut in some form. Who knows.
