Japanese 18th Century literature might be better, that way at least Nathan will post in it.

More like tenth through fifteenth and late nineteenth through early twentieth, unless we're talking poetry or kaidan.

Does this include that I am a Cat book?

(Sorry, ignorant of Japanese literature to an extremely high extent. Really the only names I know are Kwabata, Oe, Mishima, and Basho. Oh, and Murakami.)

Sōseki's writing period is 1903 through 1916 and 吾輩は猫である is towards the beginning of that, so yes.

Two questions: First, which Murakami? Haruki is the more famous in the West, but I maintain that Ryū is the better writer. Second, do you like psychological tragedies, philosophical war stories, or family melodramas? If so, then we have much to discuss.

He should just stay at the hotel near the airport in Nairobi, and never leave.  After all, you never know when it might snow, and driving in the snow would be dangerous.

Bushie?

Hey Bushie - you've mentioned that in Kenya you are supposedly going to be eating lentils and stuff like that, right?

So when you're over there, ask to volunteer in the kitchen. Learn how to make these foods. And then keep making them when you are back home.

I will volunteer in the kitchen some.  It will be interesting to see how they make that and how I can translate that into American convenience in the kitchen.

Good Monday Morning!  It is just after 9:00 am and I have been awake for an hour.  I had a nice sleep this morning and did not hear the storms at all.  I don't have that much to do today.  My main goal for today is to pack my carry on.  I do need to run to Dollar General sometime today or tomorrow and get an anniversary card for my parents.  They will be celebrating 41 years of marriage next Tuesday, June 25, 2013, so I want to give them their card before I leave.

Do you think Bushie gets the handicapped motor cart at the grocery store?

Oh wait, he's probably never even been to the grocery store.

Good Monday Evening!  I've had a pretty good day.  I haven't packed my carry on, yet, but I'll either do that tonight or tomorrow.  I'm about to go out and feed J.J. and play with him for a few minutes.  It's quite a bit less hot today so he's not sweltering outside.  I don't have much else on the agenda tonight.  I am down to 2 1/2 days until I leave for Will Rogers Airport.

You are actually spot on.  I will be having left over steak from Sunday at 18:15 and will be watching Texas Rangers baseball at 19:00 followed by the News at 22:00 and Jay Leno at 22:30.

Indeed.  Bushie, dogs need real exercise.  As in, you need to walk them.  Are you ever going to walk Blondie?

And you wonder why so many comments come your way regarding you "diet" and "exercise" regimen?

If Bushie's going to both leave the dog outside all day and never walk it, then he should try to find a new owner for the dog who'll actually take care of it properly.

What if your kids need to go for a walk, Bushie?  Will you chain them up and force them to eat hamburgers instead?

We do play fetch with the dog to get him running.  We throw out one of his toys and have him fetch it and bring it back.

Ain't the dog that needs the exercise.
