You live in Texas, how do people feel about this?  Are there any political consequences for the Republicans pulling these kinds of obvious voter suppression tricks?  Are Democrats running ads about it?  Are papers covering it?  Are people motivated to turn out because of it?

TX has pretty strict absentee restrictions, doesn't it? Doesn't this have a chance of affecting older voters and typical Republican main-in voters, as TX doesn't accept COVID as an absentee excuse?

Texas Governor = actively trying to suppress his owns citizens votes.

Immigrant and Patriotic American Arnold = helping voters in another state vote.

These Republican criminals need to rot in prison, the whole lot of them.

Is there anything that can be done in TX or does Abbott have the last word on this?

It's so close to the election it would be hard for a court to intervene.

Detroit Free Press: "Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is charging two well-known election provocateurs with felonies related to a racist robocall in the Detroit area that spread false information about the upcoming general election."

"Jacob Wahl and Jack Burkman are accused of orchestrating calls that went to thousands of voters in Detroit and other cities. The calls reportedly targeted Black voters and spread misinformation about voting by mail."

I get the feeling things like delaying USPS mail processing & Abbotts move of 1 dropbox per county is gonna bite the GOP hard in the end. Especially among their older and/or rural voters.

Plus, regarding Texas, isn't VBM pretty strict and largely comprise older voters? Last I saw, Trump had a decent lead with Texas voters over 65. I know every vote counts, but this could just push more Democrats to physically vote early in outrage.

Actually it would be...preclearance just means Bill Barr's DOJ would have to approve it. Gee I wonder what they would do.

Right.  You can have all the laws you want but if the enforcers are corrupt...

Didn't Georgia just install new voting machines that didn't work too well during the primaries?

I wrote an angry letter to Greg Abbott but the SOB's fax is offline so I had to mail it.

"But voter suppression can't actually change results! Stop being a doomer! Biden will win every state!"
