Unfortunately, I don't believe it is constitutional to ban them, considering the Heller Precedent. Therefore as a member of congress, I would honor my constitutional oath by voting No, despite the fact that I personally support such a ban.

 I believe there are plenty of reforms we can achieve without changing the constitution, like universal background checks, storage requirements, and bans on 3D printed guns. Therefore the step of amending the constitution, which should be reserved for extraordinary circumstances for which there is not another solution, should not be taken.
