Lindsey Graham would be a fantastic addition to any GOP debate and certainly better than the usual bores that will dominate the debates.

Unfortunately, with the "Top 10" debate rule, Lindsey Graham is at severe risk of being excluded.

So, should Lindsey Graham automatically be guaranteed a spot in the debates regardless of what his poll numbers are?

If Graham gets traction, everyone will simply disregard the South Carolina primary, ala Tom Harkin 1992.

Just because a gay man might love him, doesn't make the reverse true... I think Senator Graham buds asexually.

Bisexuality is another possibility.

------------

Anyways, No. The fact that he only avoided a runoff by 6.4% in his senate primary last year despite running against a bunch of gadfly candidates disqualifies him from automatic debate inclusion.

Where does everyone get this notion that Senator Graham is gay? Just because he isn't married with kids doesn't equal gay lol. But in all seriousness, he needs to earn a spot like everyone else.

Well, yes!

The debate between the Paul and Graham/neocon views on foreign policy is the only real point of contention amongst the GOP.  Most of the other "debate" points are just points of degree (who hates Obama more, who hates Obamacare more, who saw Romneycare as Obamacare first, who's a poser on this or that Tea Party issue).  Let this happen.  Only through open debate can the GOP, individually and collectively, rid itself of it's compulsion to engage in wars and nation-building that have drained our nation for quite some time.

I want to see Paul tear apart Santorum, Graham, and most especially Bush. My only fear is that the media let's Bush stay above the fray if the first two are both included.

Have you already forgotten Rick Santorum?

I don't blame you.

They need to break up the debates like the World Cup and have a group stage.

They need to break up the debates like the World Cup and have a group stage.

Group Stage? Wait, Groups on the Stage. You mean like Tag Teams!!

Huckabee and Jindal - The "Bible Boot" Team
Santorum and Perry - The "Dumb as a bRick" Team
Paul and Cruz - The "We Don't Actually Agree on All That Much but the Media Will Tell Ya We Do so Might as Well Put Us Together" Team
Walker and Kasich - The "Teacher's Voice From Charlie Brown" Team
Bush and Graham - The "Nuke the World" Team (e: from Dixie - don't want to make the other nukers feel left out)
Christie and King - The "Because I Say So" Team of Autocrats
Fiorina and Trump - The "We Have No Business Being Here" Team
Everson and Pataki - The "We're Just Here To Still Feel Important" Team
Gilmore and Ehrlich - Vote for Us and Minimize Moving Expenses! Fiscal Conservatives on the Belt 2016 Team!

There should only be 5 debates

1. Foreign Policy and National Security (Takes place before 2016)
2. Economic and Domestic Policy(Takes Place before 2016)
3.  Foreign Policy and National Security # 2 ( Takes place 24 hours before first primary)
4.  Economic and Domestic Policy( Takes place before February)
5.   RNC Audience Primary( Take place before Super Tuesday)

2 hours each
