South Dakota vote update. Over 123,000 votes have been cast, almost 200,000 votes shy of the total 2016 vote total.

Now up to 9.2 million early votes.

https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/index.html

really insane when you consider there's either nothing or a small percent from 3 of the 4 biggest states (NY, CA, TX) and still a lot of other states that haven't even started reporting.  I think turnout is going to be massive this year.

Do we know how many votes were recorded at that point in 2016?

429,337 votes for the week ending Oct 9, 2016.

The week ending on October 16 would be a better comparison, since election day was almost a week later.

But yeah this looks like a major bump.

1.2 Million.  46.26 Million voted in the before Election Day.

Georgia: 156,126 in-person ballots were cast on Thursday. Numbers for the mail ballots received today are not yet available, but when added to today's in-person total could mean around 200k votes being cast/received on Thursday. On the same comparable day in 2016, 95,570 in-person votes were cast.

In all, 540,013 in-person votes have been cast in Georgia. On the same comparable day in 2016, this number was 332,561.

Excluding the mail ballots received on Thursday, Georgia is now up to 1,072,282 in-person and mail ballots received.

Actually, it's now up to 1,125,730 votes per the late night update to Election Project

Almost 20 million votes have been cast already with CA and Fl leading with 2.3 and 2 million votes, respectively.

We have now surpassed the 22 million votes that cast this time four years ago. Over 23 million votes have been cast due to a second TN update. And the day isn't over yet.

Dave Trotter's Florida Election Tracker is becoming pay-only. Anybody going to sing to continue the updates?

Obviously will be above 50 million by the end of next weekend

46 Million at the end of the early voting period in early November 2016. We're going to break the record.

are there any updates on that whole issue with NC ballots being rejected?  have people been curing them?  I worry that with Dems requesting more mail ballots they will have a lot more rejections.

Just a hair under 36 Million votes. 10 million votes away from breaking the record.

Just a reminder, Steve Schale, analyzing the early vote, predicted Democrats would win the big races in Florida in 2014, 2016, and 2018. So be careful with his analysis.

What I remember from 2016 was his posting angstily about Democrats holding onto their absentee ballots and not sending them in.

You could do a Twitter "Advanced Search" and look at his tweets from that time period.

There just can’t be that many left after so many years. The Panhandle is less than 10% of the state’s population and the smallest counties haven’t started in person voting.

Escambia, Oscoloosa, and Bay counties are fairly populous, are they not?

Wow, AZ is looking quite great for Dems so far.

Did Jen O'Malley Dillon let it slip last week that Biden pretty much has AZ in the bag?

howso?

She said something to the effect of "We're positive that we're going to win Arizona".

Link on an internal call or something?

It was the thread about her saying that the polls were inflated and Biden wasn't leading by double digits. Most think it was just a morale booster.
